We are staying in Chard for a few days - and after looking on Google for somewhere to eat, we were lucky enough to stumble across this little gem.From the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome- everyone was so friendly.The owner brought us homemade bread, homemade cheese and olives whilst we waited for our main course.We had diced rump steak madiera style - and it was absolutely delicious.The portion was huge!The meat melted in your mouth and the sauce was just gorgeous!The only downside was that the food was so good - we did not have any room left for dessert!We would definitely recommend and would definitely go back if we were ever this way again!Thank you so much!Happy Birthday to me!

My wife and I stayed at a nearby B and B - looking for a bite to eat and this place came highly recommended on Google. We wanted take-out to bring back to our room, something that seemed out of the ordinary for A Tasquinha da Maria... the gentleman working there was more than happy to oblige and we had one of the best meals of our 10 day trip in England. This place is the real deal for great service and delicious food. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you!
