Just had a lovely one night stay here and this hotel is absolutely lovely. It's so warm and cosy and the food is fantastic and the staff are amazing and friendly. Couldn't fault the place. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to other people.

Great location and nice outside areas. However, all of that was ruined by very poor service. Went there for afternoon tea on Sunday 3rd August, and left very disappointed. Dirty and broken tea set. Had to chase for sugar as none provided.

Enjoyed a delightful Afternoon Tea with a selection of Sandwiches, Scones & Cakes which all tasted exceedingly tasty.

Quiet situation. Our room was pleasant with a comfortable bed and decent shower. The food, both dinner and breakfast was very good and excellent value. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

We booked this as a part of a hotel gift given to us.Hotel is extremely dog friendly, which was great for us.To echo other reviews, the rooms and bathrooms are tired but very clean. We had a lovely meal on the friday night in the bar, it was obviously busy so there was a bit of a wait bit overall nothing to bad. However for us the real let down was breakfast. At £16.50 pp it seems a bit expensive unless you're going for the full English which even then is quite modest.I ordered poached eggs on toast and got given a standard white slice of toast with two hard poached eggs. The waitress seemed annoyed when I asked for runny eggs and 2 slices of toast.Personally I would skip the breakfast and find somewhere else.Overall we had a nice break but probably wouldn't rebook.

A very friendly hotel providing excellent food and service. Everything about the hotel contributed to a very pleasant evening and overnight stay. Would definitely recommend the Lordleaze whether you are looking for a comfortable nights stopover or a longer stay in a beautiful part of England

An old fashion hotel that suited our needs as a stopover on a trip to the West Country. A little dated but clean and comfortable. Dinner was very nice but did take a long time to come out! Breakfast was great as were the staff. It is certainly in an odd location but don’t let that put you off.

My wife and I spent a couple of nights this week at this pleasant hotel, where the staff couldn't be nicer. We booked a table at the hotel restaurant on both nights and were really glad we did as the food was exceptional and good value, the portions generous and the service excellent. Having travelled down from London, we found the electric vehicle charging points in the hotel car park particularly useful.

A day or two after booking The Lordleaze Hotel I received an ‘Online Guest Registration’ email. This stated, ‘Please ensure that you complete our online guest registration before arrival’. The somewhat officious sounding language used was bothersome; are we really expected to take instructions from hotels? I had previously provided all the necessary information and, as I had already left home, I did not have online access. Upon checking in the receptionist was pleasant and helpful, but I was expecting the issue of my non-compliance with the guest registration instruction to be raised. Nothing was said and no further information was requested, so why had the email been sent at all? The room was rather small and generally clean, although attention should have been given to the dead insects on the bathroom windowsill and the carpet was on the downhill side of pristine. The bed was comfortable and the shower adequate. The ‘continental’ selection at breakfast was minimal; it was only when we had sat down and been presented with a menu was it became apparent that a wider selection of yoghurts, etc. was available by ordering from a member of staff. A notice or menu clearly displayed beside the cereals and juices would have been helpful. I had to request a replacement item of breakfast cutlery as that provided was not clean. Overall however The Lordleaze Hotel was a friendly and pleasant place to stay.
