We love this little place, the cream teas are amazing. They have lovely cakes and pastries. The staff are lovely and most importantly the toilet is clean! It's a small place with out door seating and very dog friendly inside and and out. Not much room inside for wheelchairs but the staff are happy to move things around to accommodate you if possible.

Great little cafe, we were made to feel so welcome and our 2 dogs as well. Great food, parked right outside and great value. Hope to return one day.?

I did visit here based on the good reviews I had read. However, I was very disappointed by what I was offered & the service. I was visiting the area on a trip to cheddar gorge & popped in here to grab a quick fulfilling breakfast before heading off for a day of adventure. I was one of the first into the restaurant and I greeted the waitress on shift but was not greeted with a particularly warm welcome. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast which was overpriced and greasy. Being the only place open for breakfast at that time, there is an opportunity to really own the space with no competition at that time, but I was left regretting my decision with x2 1/3rds of a pepper fried in oil, potatoes fried in oil, sausages, egg and mushrooms which I’m sure could (and probably were) all fried in one pan. I couldn’t finish it all because of the amount of grease - I can’t say that I have experienced this, however I feel the feel, taste and presentation of the food was what I would expect if I was a trucker passing a rest stop and the food was more for convenience than passion for food. I had a glass of orange juice and an oat milk latte which was pleasant and tasted fresher than the rest of the breakfast. The toilet is a little strange too, being a male / female & baby changing - which I can understand & have no issue with. However, it was not well kept or finished and looked again like something you would find on a rest stop in America on a longer route / highway where there is no competition and through necessity would be chosen to attend. It’s a shame, I would love to commend this place, but the only thing I can say is the coffee was nice & the cakes looked tasty. But other than that, cheap food prepared with little care / quality of presentation and very expensive for what you get. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for nice food, there are plenty of other places that open an hour later (which are worth it when combined with the quality of the food vs convenience).

Lovely little cafe in Cheddar Gorge. Good food, well cooked and friendly staff, it is dog friendly as well allowing pups inside as well as outside.

Lovely location, and I enjoyed sitting out in the sub. The food, however, was not well cooked, and the coffee was poor. Very friendly staff, but I don't recommend the veggie breakfast

This is a great lunch place for breakfast, lunch or just a drink and a cake. There is a good variety of hot and cold choices from a full meal to sandwiches. My food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Staff were polite and helpful.

Good selection of food. Service with a smile. Food was prepared and served in good time. Clean and presentable inside and outParking: There is a little space out front for a few motorcycles (although this is not designated parking for bikes) paid parking lot opposite and another approx 1 minute walk down the road

Nice place, tea was good and the scones on other tables looked very good.Full English was disappointing. Egg over cooked and hard, sausage cheap and over cooked, bacon undercooked and flabby and fried potatoes instead of hash browns seemed weird.

Stopped by for a coffee but had the best cream tea. It was delicious. Had the choice of a plain or fruit scone with jam and clotted cream and a really sweet strawberry. The decor and atmosphere was lovely and views from the window or the river, were amazing. Beautiful place. Coffee was a bit bitter for me but other than that, perfect.

Lovely little cafe, it's been here for years without much changing. Proper pot of tea with a China cup and saucer. Lovely full English breakfast and no cheating on the tuna sandwich and chips either. Prompt and friendly staff, well worth a visit.

Great service, pleasant staff, great food, and clean. We sat inside. If you are sitting outside you order from a window at the side!I'm gluten and milk intolerant, and had a few options.I chose red bush tea and vegan breakfast, very enjoyable.Hubby had steak and ale pie with veg and roast potatoes, which he said he really enjoyed. It was a little bit snug for room where we sat, but it was at a busy time of day.I would recommend it.Dietary restrictions: They cater for gluten and milk intolerance
