A really good meal and an excelent couple of pints to wash it down. They have nice fires and the sports on, but its not In your face so you cam choose to partake or not.If your in the area, I can certainly recommend it as it was great and affordable.

Being local we had visited before and hoped for facilities for disabled users to no avail. Especially after the refurbishment. I emailed to check and was told Just to make you aware we do not have dedicated accessible toilet facilities on site, however there is an accessible toilet in the carpark next door.Which is owned by the council and closes at 6 p.m. Very disappointed with Riverside's ableism.

What a shame that reasonably good food in a nice clean environment was spoiled by the fact it wasn’t piping hot , by the time we were halfway through our food it was virtually cold, would we return- no , would we recommend- no . Such a shame really:(

Nice food and drink we just had a breakfast, too large ? delicious though. Had a few drinks in the afternoon ? we stayed in the council car park next door £5:50 per day night stay is free from 6pm to 9am . We have a large motor home 8 metres and this pub car park is small!! Yes it would fit though ?Vegetarian options: They had a good menu, I’m not a vegetarian ?Parking: Perfect central

Not a nice experience I sent my meal back twice and the rest of my party's meals were warm and uninviting. Vegetarian selection poor and service could have been better I won't be returning

Busy afternoon in the pub with the rugby on the screens. I guess I left this place feeling a bit indifferent - I had a full stomach, which was the aim, but it isn't somewhere I would choose to go again. Service was friendly and food was served very quickly. I haven't reqlly got anything bad to share about this pub, but I also haven't got anything great to say about it either.

Staying at a local caravan park and just popped for a burger.vwe both had the Smoky Joe Burger, and it was delicious. For an extra £1 we got an alcoholic drink to go with. Excellent food and service.

Basic & unimaginative but ok - by 2 of the visitors. 3rd visitor has "plant based" foods of which there was a burger. Fyi burgers are not the only thing plant based diet people eat, but even in this day & age its typical of most eateries. Disappointed.

So we traveled to the Riverside Inn pub in Cheddar myself from one of my parents now we haven't been there for a while and apparently it's changed hand or the menu has been updated. The menu has been changed and altered to coincide with a new owners fair enough I understand however one of the menu items on the Old menu being removed!! My cellphone my family come from the coast area and we do enjoy fish-orientated dishes they had a sharing platter which was fantastic prawns white paint calamari school pieces of bread a little pot of fish sauce lemons as well it was really really fantastic we were going there regularly for this particular sharing menu item! And now they have removed it I have been there once or twice since then and had cotton chips it was okay but still not the same so my decision is do me and my family go back there and have food where we can get in loads of places cheaper! So if you're a fish loving family and you'd like a fish sharing platter or an aquatic pattern with prawns White Bay calamari spread fish sauce is Mary Rose mixed in and a little bit of garnish well sorry to say it's been removed I wish they'd bring it back because I would go there on a regular basis so if you're reading reviews regarding this is establishment it's entirely up to you you go there or not there is a nice little pub in pretty further up the caves which sell good l and Good Food although you might have to book because they do change regularly

Only stopped for a drink and quick service and polite staff. There's a large garden with plenty of seating but lots of dirty glasses and plates not being cleared. Could be a lot nicer if tables kept cleaned.

Very poor food. Very reduced food menu. Very little available. No vegetarian options ended off with three starters to share. Garlic bread and mushroom ciabatta burnt and Very alty. Chips cold and obviously frozen chips. Reported dissatisfaction to staff who couldn't have cared less. No apology given. No refund for food left. Not recommended.. would give less than

Half the menu wasn't available, which can happen. So we ordered several starters instead. Chips soggy and lukewarm, garlic bread and mushroom ciabatta burnt. Avoid!!

We have often met at this pub for a family get together. Our previous experiences have been ok but last week it was just awful. Food portions are small and inconsistent. Staff very rude and literally couldn't be bothered to help us. Tables not cleared and it wasn't even busy. From reading other reviews recently, others have experienced the same. Shame as we are local customers and won't be returning again !
