They weren't doing food but offered us to book a table for later to see a live band. The place was full of locals, and we were made welcome.

Such a great atmosphere! Friendly staff, wide choice of drinks and a lot of fun playing pool! Will definitely go back once in Cheddar !

Great pub located at the bottom of the gorge. Nice selection of local cider and a vast range of gin and tonics. Good food and Sunday/Wednesday roasts. Pool, dart and other pub games available.

We met friends on a Monday evening, it was very quiet, there were only about 8 of us in there. Friendly staff, clean and comfy.

Stopped for a beer on the way down from the gorge. Quick service form a happy young man and cold bottles of beer and cider.

My wife and I have been before, and were happy with everything. This time we ordered the chilli con carne and was expecting a normal chilli, but we're served a chill soup... Not overly impressed.

Visited with my young family and the dog. Staff were efficient and very polite, food was absolutely lovely, especially my daughters cheesy pasta, spot on! Very welcoming and accommodating especially as we had the dog with us and he was welcomed and offered a drink.

Came in for some food, place seemed good cheap pints and a good menu. Was told food wasn't being served till 6 so we waited half an hour (no worries) 6 o'clock came and apparently the kitchen would not be open! Just waited for nothing. Why didn't bartender (with glasses) say anything?!? Shame

I ordered the pie if the day with new potatoes, started to eat and pulled off the pasty to see a dead fly inside the pie which was not what I was expecting. The pie itself did look very dried out like it’d been sat on a hot plate for hours. We told the waitress and she arranged a new/different meal and was very apologetic about it all. The second meal was a lot nicer and there was no problems with it. But I can still only give 1 star as the matter of fact is there should not have been a dead fly in any of the food anyway

The roast dinners and vegetarian/ gluten free meals were outstanding. Went there for mothers day. Booked for fathers day! Toilet very clean.

WVisnited Cheddar for the day. Went into this bar for a drunk. Very friendly Service and good prices. The food menu looked great but we didn't eat on this occasion. Nice music and videos playing very relaxed atmosphere . Love the saloon and cowboy themed decor throughout.
