Weekend Wildness

The Cider Barn. What an amazing place to come for a knees up. Live music regularly, a great selection of ciders and fabulous food. The atmosphere here on a live night is just off the scale. They never fail to impress.Parking: There is room for everyone but some of the parking is basically in a field so park smart.Wheelchair accessibility: There is access here, but its not a roomy place when busy

Absolutely brilliant place, atmosphere was great too, pizzas were really tasty too, a little over priced but still nice, cider was great too and hubby loved the real ale. Will be back in the future.

Very good prices on proper local cider. They have made an effort with the decor for sure. Did not try the food but pizzas I saw looked good. Also chips and Chilli con Carne etc. Well worth a visit.

Great place for chilled food and drink. A group of us ate and drank here for a few hours yesterday. Dog and child friendly, plus it has a pool table.

Excellent pizza, warm hospitality in a very relaxed environment. The name tells you a lot. Great range of ciders in a former barn. We enjoyed our visit and I'm happy to recommend it.

We stopped here on our way to a campsite near Cheddar for some takeaway ciders. The young lady serving was extremely helpful and gave us good advice and tasters for many of the ciders available to match our tastes. She even insisted on carrying some of our ciders to our camper, what a star. We meet the owner, who is also a great character and extremely friendly. If only we lived closer, this would be our local. If you have a camper caravan or motorhome their is a small basic camping field nearby that I believe you can pay for at the bar so you can enjoy an evening in the cider barn and stumble back to your camper, so that's our next weekend out sorted. In all, a great place to buy ciders and for an evening out.

Great service , friendly staff and great banter with the locals . A short 30 minute walk from the Rodney Stoke caravan park in the Chedder region.

Had a pint and a half of the local cider (was driving, but would've had a bit more, if not). There was a good selection: dry, sweet, carbonated and not.Friendly service and the place has a real 'road house' and 'biker' feel to it.Does good pizzas too I noted, and the Ploughman's other guests ordered, looked awesome! Sadly, I wasn't hungry at the time ?

On another evening at a different time of year, the Cider Barn experience would be very different and I would try it again on that basis. But on a dark March night it was quite dead ... just a few locals and a few tourists. Of course there's a decent cider selection, and almost by accident we discovered an ale was available even though not on the board (??). The place lives on pizzas too, but not wanting those we opted for what turned out to be a very dry scampi/chips, and a dish which I can't recall and which while tasty and certainly homemade was pulled out of a fridge or freezer by the bar staff and almost certainly microwaved.

Rustic charm with Local Cider made by Mr Hedges.Fantastic atmosphere filled with a good crowd of people. Food was a mix of pizza, chilli ect. Have got a chilli pizza challenge, free pizza if you eat it in 6.30 seconds, no rolling... We didn't try it, it's on our next visit thing to do.Live band added to good vibe of this place. Will be going back.
