Really lovely pub. Staff really friendly, nice selection of drinks, locals equally friendly, but I need to polish up my act when it comes to card games.We called ahead to check we could stop in the car park overnight in our camper, was no problem.Whole place was welcoming & very clean.We will definitely be returning

Great pub. Service was excellent and the food the same.Ended up going there twice while on holiday for a week in Cheddar. 2nd visit was short notice due to another place cancelling our reservation they accommodated us with no issue.

We’ve been meaning to visit for a while, why on earth we didn’t go sooner I have no idea. We love trying different places for Sunday lunch and this is our best so far. We couldn’t fault a single thing. Amazing potatoes piping hot, crispy and fluffy, omg out of this world, even the seasoning was spot on. The veg was cooked to perfection. The meat melted in your mouth. The team that work there were welcoming and really helpful about the local area. We loved it so much we’ve booked again for Friday to try an evening meal, very greedy of us but we couldn’t wait.

Delicious food, varied menu. We visited on a Monday evening and it was busy, always a good sign, so would recommend booking. We had scallops and warm goats cheese salad to start. Followed by haddock fish cake and chicken supreme ( the cauliflower cheese was amazing). Great service, lovely atmosphere, amazing food. Also dog friendly which was a bonus.

We turned up in our Motorhome and hadn’t booked, but a lovely lady said we could stay the night! Unfortunately we picked a night when they weren’t cooking, but had a few drinks in a very pleasant beer garden. We walked into cheddar and picked up a Chinese takeaway, which was lovely. Thank you for letting us stay we will be back for the food! X great place!
Literally the best Sunday roast EVER. Beats all the great roasts I’ve had in Bristol and beyond. All elements are home cooked, very generous portions, amazing meats, the best cauli cheese. Every element is made with care and is delicious. You can tell how good it is as it’s always packed and everyone is super happy. A wonderful unpretentious local pub with the best chef around.

Great place to stay. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay here as this hotel is tastefully decorated, bright, clean, and has recyclable collection bins. The staff is friendly also.

We had dinner here last night (Mon 12th) fantastic experience from start to finish. Friendly welcome from barman who was fast and efficient, we were early for our table but they offered to sit us early if we wished. Menu was varied and very appealing, we had 3 courses, all of which were perfect, restaurant staff also very friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Barman even popped over to see if we needed more drinks when we were getting a bit low. Lovely atmosphere in the place as well which in all meant we had a fabulous evening, we highly recommend you try it.

We had a Superb Sunday roast the belly pork was probably the best I've had along with heaps of vegetables and delicious roast potatoes the 1st of many visits Highly recommended

Amazing Sunday lunch, in a lovely pub with friendly staff. Had the chicken with lots of lovely vegetables and roast potatoes, even extra gravy. One of the best Sunday roasts in a pub we have ever eaten, definitely go if you are in the area you won’t be disappointed
