Stumbled on this place on a quiet Sunday eve while looking for a place to have a little nibble. It's very lovely. The service was very friendly, courteous and quick, the atmosphere is very relaxing and comforting, the food is lovely. Will definitely be back.

I have been coming here for years, it was the best Chinese I’d ever had. The last year or so the food has gone consistently down in quality. The price is DOUBLED if you eat in the restaurant so heed my warning. I spent £100 today for me and my family and we barely ate any of it. I don’t know what’s happened to the quality of the food but as the prices have gone up, the taste has gone down. I wouldn’t recommend eating here.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan and vegetarian options, but these have also gone down in quality.

Booked because the hotel we were staying in couldn’t feed us on our second night!! So glad we did the service was good and the food delicious!! If we stay in frome again then we will be back to eat here again!!

Unfortunately Dragon Pearl seem to prioritise takeaways over the restaurant. When we sat down, drink order was taken but after 10 minutes we were yet to receive them. We had to wave them over to get our order taken. When the starter came out it was the wrong one. After 5 minutes we said don’t worry we’ll have that one you brought out, they said sure they’ll plate it back up. 15 minutes later it came out luke warm. 1.5 hours after sitting down, the main came out, all the meals were present except for a portion of rice. After 5 minutes we let them know it was missing and it came out shortly after. Unfortunately we found a big hair in one of the mains, we understand this can happen in a restaurant but after the poor service it was just another thing to go wrong. As I said food was good, so would have been 3/5 but minus one for the hair in the meal.

Lovely surroundings and really delicious food. All served hot and freshly cooked. Staff were all very friendly. Nice place to go with friends and just chat and eat xx

Very underwhelmed by the food. Poorly presented. Personally I felt it was rather slimy. The restaurant smells. Unusual ambiance. Overpriced (very) Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely terrible and inedible food! Fried rice was mush, Stir fried quid was like eating leather with zero taste. Saty sauce was watery, shredded beef was what saved us from going Straving. Really not OK and won't order again!
Popped in here on a Saturday with the family off the back of a few recommendations Unfortunately it turned out to be a disappointing evening Food didn’t come out together which wasn’t great but worse still what did come out was essentially served up in a slop piled up on a plate and the quality was very average at best The chicken balls to be fair were nice but the rest wasn’t great and being honest it was really pricey too, some dishes were nearly double the price of the takeaway, it cost us nearly £80 for the 3 of us!!!! Personally I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant, maybe the takeaway option is better and ALOT cheaper too by the looks of it Shame really as we had high hopes based on other reviews :(

First of all I would like to say thank you very much to the lovely lady who took our Take Out order. For a first timer to Chinese Take Away, she was very patient and kind to answering my questions. A brilliant start? As for the food Beef Chow Mein and Spring Rolls was an ideal meal for the two of us last night. Thank you very much indeed. ???

The staff and waitress were polite and welcoming. Waitress was very helpful explaining the menu. Our meal and dessert were delicious. The only problem we had was not being able to tip the waitress. Apparently all tips go to the chef. Which I thought was a scandal.

We loved it here, had a meal when visiting Frome and it was probably the best Chinese meal we have ever eaten, and we've eaten many in our time! Everything so well cooked and flavourful. Kind staff and good atmosphere. Would highly recommend the Udon Noodle dishes. Plenty of vegetarian options if you have veggies in your party.
