We went when the Wise Fools were playing. Loved the band, the atmosphere and the patrons. A good old fashion pub concentrating on customers not trends.

Apparently under new ownership and they haven’t go off to a good start waited 1.5hrs for food and that was only after asking a few times if we had been forgotten. Thais was a pre booked table as well. And the menu was reduced.

It's all a matter of personal opinion but the Sun is, to paraphrase Carlsberg, probably the best live music pub in Frome. The team (Kate, Mike, Tom, Grace, Brad) provide service with a smile .....

Great pub in a historic part of Frome. Good beer, pork scratchings & friendly staff.
Good pool table. Speed cloth and responsive cushions. Halloween was fast approaching so the decorations were out.I couldn't see any ales on draught so I had a lager.
