We stayed one night and the entire nights sleep was interrupted by the sound of someone in the room above us walking around. The inferior insulation in the build meant that we could hear EVERYTHING, which made for a really horrible nights sleep. We complained to the friendly front desk staff the next morning and they even agreed that there is hardly any insulation and advised us to stay on the second floor next time which wasn't helpful. We then spoke to a customer service representative on the phone later in the week after 2 emails sent without a response and they said they wouldn't issue a refund as we didn't attempt to contact the front desk in the middle of the night. For a company to offer a "good nights sleep guaranteed" and then to not honor that because we weren't informed of the fine print is very disappointing. We will not only be telling everyone we know to stay clear of Premier Inn's but we no longer being staying in them. Many hundreds of pounds missed out on because they wouldn't honor our request for a refund due to inferior offerings and a horrible nights sleep.

Shambles of a hotel. It should just be called 'inn" as I'm struggling to see what is premier about this place. Cancelled the breakfast for our third day because it's worse than a school dinner. Granted they refunded it but was told it would take up to ten working days... People actually waiting for mugs for coffee as they were still on tables waiting to be cleared and this seemed to take a minimum of half an hour and tables were not wiped. Bacon was cold. Stayed for the third time. We come to see my partners mother who suffers with dementia, so this is a convenient place nearby for us. So the location is great.Bought a bottle of wine to have in our room on the last night. The "hotel" and "pub" next door didn't have a corkscrew on site???!! Had to get in the car and go to Tesco to buy a corkscrew. There's signs up in the "hotel" asking you to request your room to be cleaned!! Surely it should be a request for it to not be cleaned? Had to ask for toilet roll at front desk only for the member of staff to try to give me the dispenser type paper because he couldn't be arsed to go to a different room to find the rolls that actually go in the room. I will be asking for fifty percent reduction for this stay. Also, paid initially for a plus room, the window does not open at all but don't worry, the window has a sticker with a reassuring note to say that they pump fresh air into the room. The fan that pumps this fresh air into the room is louder than the TV and the tv is set to a level as to not disturb other guests. But if you stay near the lift you'll know every time the "doors opening" and "doors closing".The staff don't seem to care or are maybe at the point of passed caring.

The hotel was a little too warm - our room was very comfortable and clean - the staff were lovely - the choices for breakfast was varied and delicious ?Rooms: Were a little too warm and stuffy it would have been better if we could have opened the window for a short time, however they were very clean and comfortable.Walkability: The walk into town and back was further than we expected and was too much for the Grandchildren (6 and 5).Food & drinks: We didn't have dinner in the restaurant as bad weather and Road closures made it very late booking in at 10.35pm. Breakfast was delicious and ample portions.Noteworthy details: The staff were lovely and welcoming.

I didn't stay at the hotel but my brother and sister-in-law did for 2 nights in September. They were very happy with the room, service and location. I was going to surprise them with breakfast at the hotel which was their rest stop during their ride from John o' Goats to Land's End. Jamie who answered the phone when I rang up, took care of everything and gave them a really lovely surprise.

We really enjoyed our stay and it was even better than we expected. Great hotel, clean, and in a convenient location. The restaurant next door was really good too. We'd look forward to staying here again.

Stayed at the hotel to go see a gig at the red brick building. It's located a 5 minute walk up the road. The tow is a 15 minute walk down the road. Everything was clean and well presented. Staff are very friendly. Only grumble was that it doesn't have its own bar and restaurant. You use the beefeater restaurant next door. We went in to get a glass of persecco and could only order a full bottle!!
