My Fine Deli
22 High St, GlastonburyVery friendly cafe/deli
We’ve eaten here a few times in the week and have had both Vegan dishes and more traditional fare which was always lovely, so we wanted an all day breakfast on a lazy Sunday. We were on this occasion too late.
So.
First Sunday lunch in 6 months and the one to beat In Glastonbury. Tender beef, well cooked veggies, braised red cabbage was yummy, tender stem broccoli cooked perfectly, carrot and swede mash was yummy too, roasties, and lots of gravy with some vegetable crisps to top it off, super tasty.
We walked in at first and they had no tables due to being all booked.
Fortunately for us even though super busy we spotted someone leaving on a second pass by and jumped in.
So glad we did. Definitely a better option in the end than their all be it great breakfasts.
Thank you.
They are great at accommodating allergies sensitivity and your preferences etc.
Well done.

Knight's Fish & Chips Est 1909
5 Northload St, GlastonburyWorking local a bit of chippy tea research brought me to this gem in the heart of Glastonbury.
It’s won the national fish & chip restaurant award for a reason you really will not be disappointed.
I had the Haddock Special with fruity curry sauce topped with a battered black pudding.
The batter was lovely and crispy not greasy at all the Haddock sublime just flaked with the slightest touch and the chips perfect!
Give it a try your taste buds will be in orbit.

Glastonbury Brewers Fayre
Morland Rd, GlastonburyA friend and I have just returned from a two night stay at the Premier inn Glastonbury which is next door to the Brewers Fayre so we ate there on consecutive evenings. The staff were friendly and efficient, despite it being busy. In particular, Robyn was especially good, seemingly juggling preparing drinks and taking food orders simultaneously. The food was good quality and arrived quickly. A very pleasant experience

Domino's Pizza - Glastonbury
Unit 3 Wirral Park Rd, GlastonburyJust a little note: YOU WILL NEED TO BE PATIENT!!! … especially on a Saturday night. I’m sitting here now waiting for a pizza; they are, quite literally, run off their feet and are working hard!!! Lots of big orders (200+ pizzas) come from local boarding schools on a Saturday night. But service is friendly and cheerful. Thank you!

Subway
2 Wirral Park Rd, GlastonburyExcellent member of staff, told him we were enjoying a nice take out for once in a blue moon as my other half has been suffering with his mental health. I was like please out extra onions on, he loves them! Not only went and gave extra onions, but also as my partner loves them so much, a few extra in a little side bag. The kind intentions of your employees make all the difference. I'm sad I didn't catch his name as he is a credit to your company and store. Thankyou for making our evening a great one! It helped put a smile on his face for the first time in a while ?

Best Restaurants

Queen of Cups
10-12 Northload St, GlastonburyThis was my first visit, long awaited. It was everything I'd hoped for and more. The staff were lovely. Friendly and professional, but laid back. The whole place had a really lovely, relaxed vibe. The food was stunning! The falafel and Hummus in particular. The falafel were the best I've ever had. It was great value for money too especially given the quality of the food. I'm still stuffed, several hours later. We've just moved around the corner from here, and will definitely be back (again and again) Highly recommend.

Rainbows End Cafe
17A High St, GlastonburyGenerally good food and we visit regularly - however, today we were served some of the most disappointing food ever. The tip of the iceberg - a portion of garlic potatoes consisted of FOUR actual potatoes. All of which frankly had seen better says and I wouldn’t have even served at home let alone to paying customers! They were covered in eyes, and sprouting, and clearly had been reheated and some were hard. This delight cost £3.50! A portion of beans - a desert spoon full of- £3.50! Appalling.

Wirral Plaice
Unit 1, travel lodge, A39 Wirral Park Rd, GlastonburyI live roughly 7 miles from the Wirral Plaice. When I first moved to my part of Somerset I spent quite some time seeking out a decent chippy only to be disappointed time & again, until......I found these guys. Been frequenting here now for almost 5 years & they never fail to impress. The women (& dad!) behind serving are all grand. They serve me by name & always check in on me & my dog (Barbra Streisand). Take my advice & don't bother with any other chippy for a good 10 mile radius. Perfectly cooked fish & proper "chippy" chips.....every time!Parking: Never a problem whenever I've gone. Always room for my wee car.Wheelchair accessibility: Shallow, concrete ramp for perfect access.

Gigi's
2 Magdalene St, GlastonburyI originally wrote some years ago that this is probably the best food that you are going to get in Glastonbury. It's been 3 or 4 years since then but last night's visit confirmed that my view still holds. Strongly recommended.

The King Arthur
King Arthur, 31-33 Benedict St, GlastonburyGreat music, eclectic mix of people, good ale selection. Plus pleasant staff.
Been here a few times more, when visiting Glastonbury, still probably my favourite pub in the UK. Brill music and people. Owner can be a tad miserable unless yr his mate or female.

Cinnamon Spice Indian Takeaway Glastonbury
Hayes Mews, 21 Northload St, GlastonburyReally delicious food that is always a massive treat. It really feels like they care about how they make the food and charge a very reasonable price. I actually think it is a bit underpriced compared to the other Indian food places in the area that seem to be giving as little as they can get away with. My favourite dish is the sag paneer.

Beckets Inn
43 High St, GlastonburyThis place is amazing, dog friendly, nice pool table and dartboard. There is an excellent beer garden with fire pit. There is a box of blankets by the bar for use in the garden. Actual music gets played on the jukebox, you also have groups that meet there regularly like the ukulele group who meet up and jam in there.
On the food front, they don't do food, however they provide plates and cutlery and you can get your Indian delivered from across the road, or you can pick up your Chinese again on the other side of the road. You get the best of both worlds.
