A great place for really good coffee and lunch after walking around the art centre. Service always comes with a smile and is prompt. The cake and panini are excellent and sensibly priced. Highly recommended.

Nice setting but daylight robbery on the prices. £5.35 for a Diet Coke and a dry maple pecan danish. If they had prices on display I would have walked away.

This traditional style café is located in the Ilminster Arts Centre close to the town centre. Whilst they do light breakfasts and lunches, I just popped in around lunch time for a coffee and cake both of which were perfect. The place was really busy, mostly senior citizens. Slightly difficult to find, you have to go in through the Arts Centre front entrance and then go up a few steps. There is a free car park, but it looked fairly busy. The ladies who run it were really nice and friendly. I noticed that they do accept table reservations. They are closed Sundays and Mondays, and close mid afternoon on the other days. I would have no hesitation visiting again.

If you are visiting Ilminster or live nearby, then you must go to Annie's Cakery Bakery located in the Arts Ctr Gallery Cafe. Food is delicious and varied. Staff are super friendly. The Afternoon Teas are the best I've ever had (& I've had quite a few) The price Annie charges is ridiculously low for the amount of food and selection you get. I've never managed to eat everything, I always come out with a takeout box. Book your Afternoon Tea in advance, you won't be disappointed.

If you are visiting Ilminster in Somerset or live in the area, I strongly advise you to visit Annie's Cakery Bakery at the Arts Ctr. The food and variety is absolutely delicious. The staff are wonderful and super friendly. The Afternoon Teas are the best I've ever eaten (& I've had quite a few around the country). The selection you get is enormous and I always come home with a takeaway box to finish later. The price Annie charges is ridiculously low considering the amount of food you get. Book your Afternoon Tea in advance, you won't be disappointed.
