First time visiting and was lovely. Fantastic Sunday lunch. Kind and friendly staff. It got busy through lunchtime so we waited a while for food to arrive. Lovely atmosphere and location by the AvonVegetarian options: Vegan and veggie options available (not just chips)

Booked a table for 6.30pm Mother's Day. We all ordered the beef roast dinner from a choice that also included chicken and pork ...which was served 5 minutes after ordering. Piping hot, generous portion of roast carrots, cabbage, roast beetroot and roast potatoes, topped off with a massive home made Yorkshire and a side of horseradish. Very generous portion of very tender beef. Absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly and service was fast and impeccable. Couldn't recommend highly enough, and there are plans to return soon. There were other dishes served besides the roast that included fish and chips . They also cater for vegetarians.Wheelchair accessibility: Outside lift, tables spaced widely enough to easily accommodate a wheelchair.

Absolutely 100% to the whole team today for mothers day. 8 adults & 5 children sat at the best table in the house. All of our food came out at the same time, all hot and delicious. Pudding scrumptious too. Special mention to Caris, Kristie, Georgio, Jarred & a special mention to Russell. Fantastic time had by all. THANK YOU

Foodlooked nicer than it tasted. Staff were lovely and attentive. Disappointed with wine options.Car park was flooded, so parking was a bit of a nightmare (not their fault).

Lovely pub with great view and an amazing burger! The service was great and one of the ladies was a motorcycle enthusiast which is always a welcoming experience.

Unfortunately I have to write a bad review. I don't like doing this especially with the hard climate we are in at the moment with restaurants and pubs closing down. But feel it must be said in the hope they take it on board and up their game. I booked online for a party of 9 originally for my partners 30th birthday. We arrived but had to tell them 1 of the party couldn't make it. We was shown to our table which wasn't made for a party of 9. We was asked if we would like this table or seeing as we have 8 we could go to another table. I said this one would do. So I had to help put 2 tables together. The manager started helping with all the cutlery and chairs. Then wandered off leaving me and the party to finish arranging the table. The rest of the party arrived. We then ordered the drinks at the bar which took a while as no one was there to serve. Eventually got our drinks. Sat down at the table. Then chose our food from the limited expensive menu and ordered at the bar. 3 of the party ordered beef shin pie. When it came it was small for what the price was. Served in a bowl. A couple of minutes later the waiter arrived asking if everything was alright with the meal. We all initially said it was fine. As not tried the pie as of yet. When we did get round to eating it. It was like chewing on a leather boot. It was disgusting. I would of sent it back for a replacement but the other 2 said theirs tasted the same. I didn't want anything else on the limited menu as there was nothing I really fancied and I was hungry so just ate it. My mum couldn't eat hers as it was just gristle. Really un-impressed especially with how much it cost. The kids menu was extremely limited 3 meals available. My sons sausages was overcooked. My step daughter only ordered chips as there was nothing else she liked. We all finished most of our food. Then waited around 10-15 mins for someone to collect our plates. In the end, I cleared it for all of us so we could do the birthday cake. The manager bought the birthday cake out and then spoke to us. Asking us if we had a nice time. We said it was OK. But explained about the pies. She offered to clear our £10 tab as good will gesture. Its such a shame as its such a nice pub and I have had ok meals previously. Maybe they was short staffed. I don't know but when your spending good money you expect a better service. Unfortunately won't be going back. The pub has potential. It needs to lower its prices and have more pub grub on offer. Hate leaving bad reviews but felt I needed too.

Went here on Tuesday 5th March for my partner’s birthday. Arrived at 12:30 in the afternoon where on arrival there were about ten other people in the pub. We waited about roughly 25/30 minutes for our food to arrive, which was ok. When we had finished our food the waiter came over to collect our plates and asked if we wanted anything else, in response I asked for the dessert menu. After waiting about 15 minutes for the dessert menu I gave up and went to the bar to pay the bill. The same waiter served me with the bill and asked if everything was ok, I replied yes apart form the dessert menu I asked for. In response from him I just got ( oh I forgot ). Was very disappointed because it was my girlfriend’s birthday meal and the restaurant was not overly busy.

absolutely dreadful, restaurant was quiet, waited 30 mins between starters & mains, once mains arrived one of our party was forgotten about, so she had to wait another 15 mins for hers to arrive. i had fish & chips & my batter was burnt & very cruncy & mushy peas was very dry, almost like dust. told the manager about it & she wasn't really bothered. this used to be one of my favourite places, unfortunately we wont be returning again!
