“Can’t praise the ‘Italian@Pensford’ enough, my Dad and I had delicious, generous fresh hake fillet with red pesto served on spinach with new potatoes and a bit of broccoli too as it was a Sunday thanks to Rich the chef, formerly of the marvellous La Grotta in central Bristol. Pre-ordered, it arrived on time served with a smile by the king of courtesy ‘Augusto the Portugeezer’To follow we had the majestic profiteroles with marshmallow cream, could’ve eaten them till I popped!Spacious and warm, fantastic food, great service - five big gold stars from me ?”
“Excellent local, even better staff. I am a central Bristol native but resident in K Town for last seven years and am always welcomed when I come here for my post work Wine ?? Thanks especially to Lindsay (sorry if I spell the name wrong)”
“Decent old school pub with lots of space and a very nice balcony overlooking the park. Bonus points for still having a pool table and darts (with free pool some days, although you should bring a decent cue if you want to play properly). Average ”
“Really nice traditional pub. You can sit outside.I'm not sure if they serve food, but the pub/bistro place next door do.Small inside and no changing facilities for babies.Really nice pub for a quiet drink with mates. Plenty of parking too.”
“Parking limited. Carvery is reasonable, don't like cold plates.Loyalty card no longer accepted.”
“We had a really lovely lunch, with amazing views over the river. Served by Harvey who was a credit to your business. Nothing was too much trouble and was so polite. Food was delicious, would definitely visit again”
“What a great pub, food was good value, service great and kid-friendly for our 6 year olds. Must give a special shout out to Stacey whose service with a huge smile was consistent and positive - she couldn’t do enough for us and really looked out for our kids - smarties and all. Thanks, Stacey!”
