I was the only customer at 1.30pm on a wet Monday afternoon.The two ladies were delightful and, being a cool, wet lunchtime i was seeking something warm and hot food was on the menu but i was reminded of times past by the tempting Ploughman's Lunch; three types of cheese - brie, cheddar and stilton, served with salad and biscuits. They asked if i'd like some bread and butterand i said yes.To follow, traditional hot Golden Syrup bread-and-butter pudding. I was warned that the plate was hot; when i'd finished ten minutes later the plate was still hot!Good value food, served well by friendly staff.I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Had lunch in their cafe yesterday. Outstanding food I had the fish selection. One of the best meals I've had this year. Restaurant quality and would highly recommend. Went to the shop afterwards and got lots of lovely goodies to take home!

We had the smoked fish selection and the smoked meat selection and both the fish ( mackerel, trout, salmon) and the meat ( pork loin , duck chicken) were lightly smoked and were gorgeous. Both platters came with fresh salad and garlic potatoes and the fish had a dill mayonnaise all of which was very nice. The price paid was extremely good value for money, so much so that we ordered some smoked fish and cheese for Christmas.
