“Stumbled on this lovely friendly pub, when using another local business. Decided to try south African dishes from the menu.... So glad we did. Food was superb, fresh and well presented... very reasonable prices too. Would HIGHLY recommend.... Staff were very friendly, telling us about his travel to Africa... Was very interesting.... “A great inn with loads of history, the original parts of the building go back to the 1400s. A friendly pub with a very helpful and hospitable landlord. A good selection of beers, and a fantastic full English breakfast. Good location with some nice walks in the countryside around Long Ashton.Rooms: The rooms are cosy, clean and comfortable.”

“The George Inn threw me a big surprise. I have never stopped here before, but just driven past many times over many years. However, I will definitely be stopping more often in the future. The pub itself was very clean and well set out. The garden area and rooms leading out to the garden were superb, which unless we had made the visit, we would have been none the wiser. It's a great pub for family gatherings, for sure. On top of all of the above, the food was excellent and served by many friendly and willing helpers. Thank you, the George Inn.
