The Bird in Hand
17 Weston Rd, Long Ashton, BristolNice little pub, with a some outside seating and conservatory area (where we ate). Not too expensive and food was good. Car park generally big enough. Maybe the best thing about the pub is that it’s just off the Bristol to Bath cycle path, meaning you can get there from places like Bitton by bike without needing to cycle on the road, so good with the kids. Also makes for a good place to stop if riding from Bristol to Bath.

The Old Library
6 Lovelinch Gardens, Long Ashton, BristolWhat a lovely combination - you can still see where it was a library and they've kept the theme going by having lots of books as decoration/book swap (I assume it's a swap as there was nowhere to put money!)
It was pretty busy on a Sunday morning, particularly because it was raining - great to see local places thriving. The service was a little slow - a lot of staff but they seemed overwhelmed. However, everyone was very friendly and wanting to help, so full points for trying!
Good choice of drinks including non dairy options, and a number of vegan and gluten free cakes as well. Quite a few people were having breakfast/brunch - a real community feel. Quite noisy, so if you're around sensitive, do be aware.

La Campagna @ Winford Arms
Bridgwater Road, Dundry, BristolFantastic family friendly restaurant.All of us felt very welcomed from the moment we stepped in. The decor and atmosphere is simply fantastic.As for food we couldn’t complement it enough….Definitely worth spreading the word around and coming back soon !

The George Inn
Manor Rd, Abbots Leigh, BristolWe hired the two upstairs rooms for a family event. Stevie and the team were really helpful and made the whole thing run smoothly for us, they did us a really good deal on the hire. The rooms themselves were gorgeous - the terrace bar is a great space and the roof of the main upstairs room blew our minds! What an amazing space, it was like being in a medieval hall. The food provided was really good and not a bit was leftover at the end. I'd definitely recommend The George for private events.

Ashton Court Estate, BristolWow,what a fantastic cafe this is.not only is the food and drink so nice.The staff are absolutely wonderful,nothing is too much trouble. They work so hard,and are always so lovely.you really do have a marvellous team bristol council.
