Roast was tasty, portion could have been bigger. Did offer gluten free options which was good. Service wasn't prompt. Didn't find it that friendly so wouldn't rush back.Not buggy friendly upstairs (steep narrow staircase) and we were a large group with buggies.

Love The George with it's half café half pub ambience. Pop in for breakfast with the dog, great coffee when I'm cycling, Sunday lunch with my wife. Great garden in the summer too.Dietary restrictions: Looks of Gluten free options

Six members of a Walking Group had pre arranged lunch booked at this very pleasant and extremely busy Pub. We had a bit of a wait for food as there was a few groups ahead of us being served. We were not concerned by this as the drinks were served very quickly and we had a well positioned reserved table. Everyone was extremely complimentary about the quality and variety of the food. My haddock and chips were excellent, my wife and others had the classic burger which they said was spot on. A very good experience, probable return when it’s not so crowded.
