one of the best Sunday roasts that i have had , The landlords wife is an ace cook. yes pub is a bit oldy worldly but i think its cosy and friendly and affordable

Visited this afternoon for a spontaneous roast dinner after a manic week! My partner had seen this pub on her travels to and from work so decided we’d visit. I had the beef and she has the veggie pie. Very good sized portions and piping hot! Meat was cooked beautifully and the beef melted in your mouth, spuds and yorkie was nothing special but lovely all the same. Her pie was again a good size, piping hot and very filling! We finished with the sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate fudge cake. Both absolutely lovely. Customer service was excellent and it was just a nice local pub, perfect for a Sunday afternoon.

We visited on 2 occasions whilst in the area, Sunday lunch, which was amazing, and an evening meal later in the week, both meals were delicious, very good value for money, staff were very friendly and welcoming, just wish it was nearer to where we live!

Called in for food and was welcomed by a friendly atmosphere, the landlord was very helpful and found out if any places for breakfast close by for us on a Sunday morning, the food was out of this world amazing, the service was amazing and the quality of the food was outstanding and it was not expensive, I highly recommend calling into the white post we will be returning again.

Exceptional food, service, prices, friendliness all round. Mark, my dog Winnie and I had a superb meal / drinks tonight. Fabulous. Brendan and his sister couldn't do enough for us, even plated some chicken for Winnie. Have been many times before and always a relaxing time throughout. Many thanks.

Since leaving the area 9 years ago we have visited the Post on a number of occasions. We have never been disappointed, food and service always excellent plus a decent pint of real ale. A welcoming traditional "non corporate" pub.

Me and my husband went here today for Sunday lunch welcomed by staff was lovely found us a table as we didn’t book before hand and the food was fresh vegetables which was lovely after reading the comments no microwave Sunday roast all freshly cooked asked for extra gravy was lovely highly recommend a nice play area for kids out side a few benches out side for people to sit a large car park
