“Where to start with this absolute gem. On arrival the greeting you receive from the hosts Bruce and Sheila is like the reunion of long lost friends such is the warmth and friendliness. Straight away you get a sense that nothing is too much trouble and that the splendid house is your home for the duration of your stay rather than just being accommodation. The decor is thoughtful, comfortable, sympathetic to it's past and a reflection of the hosts personalities. A particular favourite for me being the lounge which exudes gentleman's club/British country estate charm and comfort.....a perfect spot for a nightcap. Your hosts offer the perfect balance of warmth, friendliness, attentiveness and advice to enhance your stay in the area. The Great House is well and truly worth a visit and you won't be disappointed. Relaxing, charming, comfortable, welcoming......I highly recommend a visit if you're staying on Exmoor. Absolutely loved it.”
