Great service. Delicious food. The portions are generous, and I believe it's reasonably priced.

First time visiting the uk and after a long flight we stopped by for a late lunch with my fiancé and his parents. I had the turkey brie cranberry jacket potato and it was amazing! Definitely will be stopping by again!

We were so glad we found Mr Macawbers. It was by far the best meal out we have had all year. I had the cottage pie, and my husband had ham, egg, and chips it was all gorgeous the ham was thick and a big slice. All cooked to perfection. The desserts also lovely the raspberry pavlova superb. Nice friendly atmosphere. All in all, it's a great place. Definitely going back.Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately no wheelchair accessibility

Been visiting Minehead for 20 years and never been here but a sudden downpour drove me in! Best 'proper' cooked meal in years. Un-messed up British traditional cooking at its best, how it used to be. Proper veg cooked to perfection, salmon, followed by the best fresh fruit salad artistically arranged, ice cream on the side, value for money, served with a smile, and best of all, no 'Demolition Music' just gentle Classic FM in the background coupled with 'people watching' from my window side table down to the street below. A staff member even carried my shopping trolley downstairs for me as I have a disability.

Upstairs dining. Relaxing view of Minehead tree lined main road. Visit often, food and service, always excellent.

Absolutely love this place so make a special “mission” 35 miles from Barnstaple to meet here with friends. The slight drawback is that it is often full, which obviously speaks for itself, and for some the absence of a lift.

We regularly have lunches at Micawbers and have always been very pleased with the food, the service and the value for money. A great favourite with Minehead locals.

Upstairs (so not for buggies or wheelchairs!) with large bay windows overlooking the street, dated/oldey world decor, relaxed atmosphere. Food was excellent value and freshly prepared.Stopped in on way back from holiday for lunch, would loved to have tried the desserts. 5 of us had adult mains and a drink each, total cost under £60.

Very discrete doorway with only an A sign on the pavement but the menus and pricing were just what we wanted.I had pork in cider and apple sauce and my wife had the fishcakes we don't normally have deserts but the mains were so good we weren't going to pass on this, I had my all time favourite treacle tart with custard and my wife had the lemon and ginger crunch, the food was freshly cooked with fresh vegetables and the deserts were amazingDefinitely my go to place next time I'm in Minehead

Best cream tea of the year. Lovely scones and seductive cakes, I could have eaten them all. This is a charming traditional tea shop.
