The best Sunday lunch ever - wonderful food, lovely staff - absolutely fantastic to be in a traditional British pub offering such great food.

What a cool place. I thought I had arrived at someone's home. Walking inside there are tables in what would be the living room with a small but seemingly well equipped bar with a great selection of ales and ciders. The garden is lovely but alas, no children's playing equipment. It was a tranquil garden with lots of flowers in blossom and an apple tree (June 23) It is a lovely quiet location, a few minutes from Nailsea. You can hear the noise of farm animals and the garden is a bit of a suntrap. I can certainly see myself going to this little gem of a public house again. But perhaps without the children next time.\\nI could see there were what appeared to be home made or authentic style pies, pasties and sausage rolls for sale at the bar. But I didn't inquire about a meal menu. During my visit I didn't see anyone else having a meal, so I can only assume there is no meal option.\\nBut what a lovely place

A very welcoming pub by both other patrons and the lovely lady behind the bar. A good array of drinks and snacks (including gorgeous looking hot snacks). A couple of other families there which was nice. Can't wait to go back in the summer with their large beer garden and pizza oven.

Best pub in the area by far - proper beer, great food (although could do with a bit more choice for veggies) and fabulous beer garden! Also the friendliest staff! Wish they'd open more often is the only thing :)

Absolutely brilliant pub. So many country pubs have been stripped of all character by glossy renovations. Not this place! Old school scran, snacks, flat cider & cask ale. Perfect pub!

A more authentic country pub would be hard to find. Can be summed in in one beautiful west county word: Proper.

Not only is the landlord a purveyor of fine ciders he is also the creator of the best pork pies and sausage rolls available. Don’t miss the chance to fill your boots next time you’re in.

Lovely pub serving local beers and ciders, all very affordable and great selection. Very different to your overly commercial or chain pubs, got a real authentic feel to it. Great beer garden at the back. Lovely little gem of a pub.
