This place is positioned perfectly for nipping off the motorway and having a nicer setting than the services, so met a passing relative for lunch. Disappointed with the food as we all found it to be tasteless. Such a shame as it's a lovely place.

I visited The Priory Hotel Portbury yesterday and it was excellent! Service was brilliant, food fantastic and general surroundings all clean/tidy! Well worth a visit!!!

The worst lunch I’ve eaten in a long time!!A tasteless unseasoned chicken and avocado saladServes without a dressingWhen the dressing arrived it was sugar water …3 tiny slithers of avocado and 2 strips of unfresh burnt baconIt was over chilled and unfreshI seriously think that if a salad is that difficult to produce then this chef really wasn’t tryingI left most of it because of the awful dressingSadly I felt that I couldn’t complain because I wasn’t being treated to lunch by a friend … the waitress didn’t ask why I’d barely touched it which is always a bad sign ☹️Dietary restrictions: Weren’t askedParking: FineWheelchair accessibility: Fine

Table was ready on time, only a short wait after ordering food & drinks, and the food was well prepared, nice and hot and very tasty, so happy days!

Wonderful food, easy location for us, great service and a nice varied menu.Slightly on the pricier side, but you absolutely get what you pay for.Was originally recommended to me, and I've no hesitation in recommending on.Will 100% be returning.

As we visited on Mothers Day we were offered a set menu. I appreciate that we visited later in the day but half the menu was unavailable. We were given a smaller set menu to chose from and then limited further with unavailable dishes. As a pescitarian my only opion was a veggie dish that was very disappointing. We waitied a long time for service and left disappointed with the food and experiance.

Just been for Mother’s Day meal, 6 people at £30.50 each set menu, 2 starters of mushrooms and soup of the day were off the menu as they had run out, mains had run out of beef and pork Sunday lunch, in our party we had 2 non meat eaters we were told there was only one fish dish left and the other was a aubergine dish which was very bland as it tasted like soggy vegetables in a tomato sauce (this was not eaten) 5 of our main meals came out and the fish dish came out 10 minutes later??? I felt very sorry for the waiter as he had to keep saying “sorry” I do believe that if you reserve a table (as everyone we spoke to had to do) then there should have been enough food to cover. Very disappointed.Disappointed with reply from owner, not sure why if meat and fish dishes on main menu are not available you didn’t reduce set menu price when taking our money

My family and I booked a table for mother's day, which had a set/limited menu.when we got there we were told they had no soup, beef, pork belly or fishleaving very little option expecially to our pescaterian dinners.also the steaks were like rubber, they got taken home for the dog!you also had run out of pavlova and another dessert.I was very disappointed to pay £211 for such poor food/ service
