Visited with friends on a dismal winter day when the lock gates were being repaired and an ultra low tide. I imagine on a fine day it would be far more appealing. I chose Fish and chips which were pretty average, however our companions chose rather more wisely and were very happy with their food. Cost was £30 each for 2 courses Inc a glass of wine and service.

Waiters too busy to notice us, we had to flag them down every time.The lamb shanks were fine but not meltingly tender, vegetables very ordinary.The pasta was a small portion on a very large plate but apparently tasted good.Good atmosphere. Overall a bit disappointed.

If you didn’t want potatoes and veg with your meal. And had chips instead you pay extra for the chips. Small portions too.

Lovely tasty food and company on a dull day, will be fab view in the summer Attentive service. Baked avocado starter very different followed by seafood risotto with bream and prawns washed down by a cheeky pinot grigio Husband had arancini followed by pork which looked lovely too so busy eating forgot to take photos!
