I recently dined at Spicy Aroma, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The moment I entered the restaurant, I was struck by the luxurious and welcoming ambiance that surrounded me. The environment was so pleasant that I immediately felt at ease, and the staff's warm and hospitable nature only added to the overall experience.\\n\\nSpeaking of the staff, it was evident that they were incredibly well-trained and knowledgeable about the menu, as they provided us with excellent service throughout our meal. I was also delighted to find that there was free parking available within the restaurant area, which made my visit all the more convenient.\\n\\nWhen it came to the food, my kids and I were blown away by the delicious flavors and aromas that we experienced. The Chicken Tikka was an absolute hit with the little ones, while I personally fell in love with the Fish Tikka, which I tried for the first time. We also tried the Bhindi Bhaji and Tarka Dal, both of which were cooked to perfection and complemented by the soft, plain Naan.\\n\\nAlthough the food portions were slightly smaller compared to other restaurants, I must say that the quality of the dishes more than made up for it. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as the restaurant was quite busy when we visited. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit to Spicy Aroma to anyone looking for a luxurious dining experience with delicious food and excellent service.

Great food, shame about the service. It's the first place I've eaten at that insisted we keep cutlery between starters and mains. Our waiter brought our mains, gave one plate then walked away to deal with other customers and then started serving them! When he came back there were no serving spoons for the sides that were being shared amongst our group. When we asked for spoons for them we were told to use our individual spoons. The waiter eventually agreed to give us serving spoons but then, again, walked away to serve other people. In the end I had to get them myself. To cap it all we waited ages for the table to be cleared and only got there by attracting the attention of the guy behind the bar. If they were full and run off their feet I could understand it but they were only about half full.I'd definitely get the food here again, but only as takeaway.

Best Indian I have had in the Bristol area. Food was delicious, zero complaints. Only feedback I can give is that the service not be as rushed. Not even a minute after we sat we were asked what drinks we would like and the pace was maintained throughout our time. Food can take a while to come out but this is also based on how busy the restaurant is. Definitely recommend on a weekday night.

Truly excellent and excellent value. We used to be regulars abiut a decade ago. They were excellent then too. The owner remembered us when we came to pay the bill. Real nice guy. They've had a revamp of the decor, yet the food is still excellent value and the service prompt. We highly recommend them!

The food was very good, but we had to wait over an hour for it. We ordered the takeaway and were told it would be ready to collect in half an hour, however I think they didn't start cooking it until we arrived to pick it up at the time it was supposed to be ready, as we then had to wait a further 35 minutes!

New owners have caused this once great place to go downhill and fast.I have used this restaurant for many years however tonight is my last visit. The last three visits I have had to wait over 20 minutes past my takeaway collection time. Tonight I witnessed one poor chap ask three times when his food would be ready as he had waited over 30 minutes past his collect time and each time he was ignored. It wasn’t even that busy for eat-in.I could hear others that sat waiting also commenting on how the place has gone downhill fast.We have noticed that the food has changed quality considerably since the new year and will now be taking our business to one of Portishead’s other establishments.

I ordered, mix grill, fish pakora and lamb biryani. Unfortunately, lamb in the mixed grill was really hard and soaked in oil. I’m surprised why?? It’s a grill so suppose to be oil free. The lamb biryani was ok. The service was gr8 but I do think they need to improve the taste of their grill items.

Absolutely delicious food. Its tasty and generous, and the restaurant has got a nice atmosphere/decor, nice and spacious. Highly recommend!

Rude staff. Order wrong. Items missing and meal therefore ruined. Trying to blame the delivery driver. Not prepared to try and rectify the situation. Just shouted and abused me over the phone! Absolutely disgraceful service and response.

Food is great, taste is amazing and highly recommend - however - the speed of service is terrible… be prepared to wait 30 mins for a collection, followed by a further 20 mins, maybe even a further 30 mins, before your food is actually ready ?Parking: Plenty of parking for collection, which is off the main road and no time restrictions in the evening - handy really considering you end up waiting for ages.

Great food, good atmosphere in the restaurant and friendly staff. Food was hotter/spicier than others but still excellent.

A nice surprise find in Portishead. The takeaway we've had tonight was really nice, full of flavour and spices. They ran out of the lamb chops tonight, but we replaced it with the Tandoori Tiger Prawns, they were big and meaty prawns, and the chargrilled taste on most of the dishes really brings out the flavour. The only slight complaint is a bit too much ghee, reduce that and they would have the perfect food. This is a place we would definitely order again next time we are in Portishead.

Great food, great service. The added touch was when the chef came out and spoke to each table to ask if their food was ok. Will definitely be returning. Thank you again. The France family
