A lovely hotel surrounded by gorgeous countryside.Rooms: My room was a deluxe single, but the bed was large, as was the room. There was a well stocked hospitality tray and toiletries in the bathroom.Food & drinks: The food was amazing. I had a steak which came with all the trimmings and was cooked to perfection. I've already booked to stay again.

Stayed here for work. Rooms were nice. A bit cold and took a while to heat due to the size. Loved the jacuzzi bath and the rainfall shower. Breakfast was really nice with a good hot menu and also good selection on the buffet. Staff on reception were rather dismissive. Felt they didn't have time for us in the morning. But over all a nice place to relax and recharge.

We had a lovely couple of days stay at the Crossways for a joint birthday celebration for my partner and myself. The room we had (I think the executive king) was great - loads if space, big open wardrobes, an enormous and extremely comfortable bed and a fantastic bathroom with both a huge walk in shower and a bath big enough for 2 with taps in the middle. The room had hairdryer, iron and ironing board, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and was lovely and warm when we arrived. As we had said it was a birthday trip, we had a bottle of Prosecco in the room on arrival, a lovely touch. We ate in the hotel on the first night we stayed and took advantage of the steak night offer - £16 for a 10oz rump or 8oz sirloin with amazing chips, onion rings, peas, salad, grilled tomato and mushroom plus a glass of wine or beer. Portion size was huge and it tasted great. The home made complimentary foccacia was also delicious. Breakfast on both morning was fab, with cereal and fruit being available, together with being able to order freshly cooked hot food from the menu - the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and the full English were both fresh and delicious. Finally a big mention to the staff at the Crossways who were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Thoroughly recommend for a stay in Somerset!

I cannot express how wonderful all the staff are at this venue. From reception to management to restaurant manager to waiting staff to housekeepers. Exceptional customer service and nothing too much trouble.

Really friendly service, room was much better than we were expecting, with all USB enabled sockets, modern look and extremely clean. The location might not be to everybody’s choosing, due to being down some country lanes but was great for us, with a welcome tranquility away from main roads. We would go back.

Nice place , food not bad just not a lot around it .

Good value for money and they have electric car charge points which was an added bonus. Only downside was the hotel smelt of smoke and the bedroom floor didn't seem clean.

We went for Christmas Dinner. The food couldn't be faulted. I wouldn't go back because the wait staff wanted to set a fast get them in and out pace. One was in such a hurry he dropped a dirty knife down my front.

Totally blown away with the totally sincere unforced naturally friendly service from all staff. The price was amazing, the room was amazing and the breakfast was superb. The little finishing touches like the tea and coffee selections even in the rooms add that sense of being comfortable and like being at home. Was really calm and quiet and yes the only downside as with any hotel were the usual ignorant other guests that can't seem to close a door quietly! You know who you are! Grrr sort yourselves out ? no really apart from that, absolutely stunningly perfect stay and look forward to staying again very soon ?THANK YOU

From the time of booking our wedding last September we were thoroughly looked after (with all of our many changing requests) by the staff, especially Robert and Natasha. Our ceremony and reception went smoothly, with no hitches and the staff all looked after us and our guests. We all had an amazing time. The Avalon Suite given as part of the package is an incredible room (we wished we could have stayed another night to make use of the hot tub)Thank you for looking after usRooms: The rooms are exceptional, clean and tidy and to a very high standard.
