Looked online, stated it was open for food on a Sunday evening. Walked from my glamping site at the rare breeds centre, a mile down the road. Got there 5 mins early. Barman said to wait until officially open. When 5pm came around, he said it was open Mike night and no food was being served. He could've told us, 5 mins prior. I left saying under my breath that I would see him next Tuesday.

Food and service were great but unfortunately not very wheelchair accessible, narrow doorways and no accessible toilet. Dog friendly

Walked into the pub and was met with a cosy warm atmosphere on a Sunday lunchtime. Was looking forward to my carvery lunch and was not disappointed my beef dinner was delicious and piping hot with a good choice of veg. My dessert was a homemade mandarin jelly topped cheesecake which completed my meal perfectly. Looking forward to returning midweek to try some other dishes on the menu

Great food, nice friendly atmosphere. Good range of beer, lager and cider. Car parking is a bit limited bits that's the only issue. You'll find somewhere to park. Worth a visit.
