Homemade burger ? was pretty good and a fair selection of dishes. It's an old fashioned type of cafe so no modern continental dishes or garlic and spices. The atmosphere is a bit utilitarian ?

Excellent- deserves a Michelin star… Do they give them to cafes? The Broccoli and Stilton cheese soup was delicious and there were 6 other homemade soups to choose from which is most unusual. My partner had scrambled egg and bacon baghette and was hugely impressed with the egg which is not easy to get “just right “! This time they did. We then shared some cakes.. a mini Victoria sponge which was exceptional and a little carrot came that was scrumptious too. Their service too was wonderful and it is truly a gem in the little village of Somerton In Somerset.

We chose to lunch here as our usual venue was closed for a holiday. First time visiting Somerset. Popped in here for a breakfast. Extremely good value for a large breakfast came with 5 Mins of ordering red hot and very fresh and tasty. The owners very attentive and welcoming. Will definitely return.
