Craft House Chocolate
portsdown, New St, SomertonWe enjoyed a chocolate truffle making workshop recently. Nettie is extremely knowledgeable and we learnt a lot e.g what is good and bad chocolate and techniques related to using chocolate. It was good fun and you come home with delicious truffles that you made. There is also a variety of different chocolate in the shop to buy which we did. We will definitely visit again and thoroughly recommend the course and shop.

M&M Cafe
4, Brunel Shopping Centre, SomertonExcellent- deserves a Michelin star… Do they give them to cafes? The Broccoli and Stilton cheese soup was delicious and there were 6 other homemade soups to choose from which is most unusual. My partner had scrambled egg and bacon baghette and was hugely impressed with the egg which is not easy to get “just right “! This time they did. We then shared some cakes.. a mini Victoria sponge which was exceptional and a little carrot came that was scrumptious too. Their service too was wonderful and it is truly a gem in the little village of Somerton In Somerset.

Parking: Free long stay car park short walk.
Nearer car park not sure if you need to pay.

The Triangle, SomertonCalled in last night just after nine and ordered fish &chips and a curry sauce,the fish was full of flavor and the batter was excellent.
Probably the best fish and chips I have had in twenty years.

Chicken And Pizza Land
Unit 5, West St, SomertonDiscovered this take away this week, ordered my first takeaway with them at the beginning of the week, and it was so nice, I really fancied another, so ordered one tonight, same order as before but I fancied adding something new to the order previous with a pizza to try. Unfortunately there was some confusion on my end with the pizza, online it seemed their Doner meat pizza only come with doner meat and cheese, nothing else which is perfect for me as I hate onions etc, but when it arrived, had onions all over it. I was gutted as it was a 15” pizza and cost £13.90 so I wasent sure what to do. I rang them up to explain the situation not expecting an outcome, but they offered to make me a new one and sent it to me free of charge, and I live in Ilchester so that was extra kind of them. They were so kind and understanding and it was great customer service. I would 100000000% recommend these to anyone, great food, great service. Thank you guys so much, you have a loyal customer in me now.

Peking House
West St, SomertonHave bought food here a couple of times. Food is good and service is very quick. Parking is somewhat an issue but usually a space somewhere along the road.
The biggest downside is that you have to pay with cash as they do not take card. If you have forgotten to get cash then the nearest cash machine is at the One stop shop about 1/2 mile away.
