I went for my birthday lunch with my sister, it was a Monday so quiet everywhere. The staff were really friendly and the food was excellent with plenty of choice. I had the lasagna with chips garlic bread & salad, which was the tastiest lasagna I have ever had and it was red hot as well. My sister had the sea bass with Mediterranean veg, which was also very tasty and beautifully cooked. We had the raspberry and chocolate truffle desert between us as we were full, which was delicious & was brought out with a candle on, bless the staff. We would highly recommend the globe, and will be returning again.

Booked the Globe second time. Had lunch with hubby's daughter. They both had a roast, one with pork, the other beef. A good portion for a roasts, even they couldn't eat it all? I had two roast tatties and a parsnip, as hubby was getting full up! It was his first proper roast in a while, since being ill 4wks ago. I had nachos. Lovely meal all round, and staff friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely lunch and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was well cooked and presented. Recommend the pork belly! No hesitation in recommending this place.

Went here with my partner and 2 children. Quiet atmosphere would almost want to say it was dead in there. The food was awful. The steak that was so chewie that the knife was finding it hard to cut. Kids/"small plate" as they called it had the burgers (x2) one of the burgers was sopping wet a and the bun had turned to mush, and it was still raw in the I mean cold in the middle raw. The spicy chicken burger wasn't much of a chicken burger let alone any spice. Its a strip of chicken (dry as old boots), the chips are the blandest things I've ever eaten. Then it comes to the bill.... they have charged adult prices for the "small plates/kids" when brought to their attention they where not willing to budget about it and said they are all adult sizes and dont do "kids" when explaind that our server said that they do, do kids/small plates for kids so that's what we ordered ,they said we was told wrong and pay the bill. Its has good potential but with the food that we were served I can understand why it was so quiet in there.
What a brilliant place! The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel really welcome. We had a table in the conservatory which was well heated. The food was excellent. I would recommend the pork belly! We were really well looked after and I would recommend this place to anyone. We will be going back.

Underwhelming food. Pork had fat not crackling. Vegetables overcooked, gravy prob from a packet. Vegan wellington a burning hot puree/mush in a flabby pastry parcel. Wasn't expecting fine dining at this price, but still below par.However service was excellent, location good for our get together and the atmosphere good, though the flickering lights prob better for Halloween!Vegetarian options: Prob from freezer to plate via microwave.

On a day visit to Somerton we stopped here for lunch.Great pub, lovely food and great service from our waitress Phoebe! Would definitely return if in the area again.
