The place is cold, the toilets smell terrible, and the food is dull and lacks the zest and richness of authentic Indian cuisine.Sorry to be so down on the place, but it is terrible.

Really good food, portion size was astronomical, im a big fella and this was even too much for me. Really good value. We went for curry but if thats not your thing theyve got like 4 different cuisine menus so im sure theres something for everyone and yes you can mix and match.

Best dining place around here, by far. The food is exceptional. The staff are always so friendly and happy to serve the best food. Always fresh and delicious. Never had a meal that wasn't the best meal ever. Highly recommend Lopen Raj.

Such friendly, efficient staff and delicious food.I wanted to reward the staff for all their help and service. I learned that ALL gratuities go directly to the "boss" and the staff,who do all the personal work ,don't see a penny of any tips!!!Unfair..un British...and annoying ?Management/owners price the meals to make their profits it is only fair that all tips should be divided equally every day to the staff on that shift. Cooks, waiters and cleaning staff.I should welcome a face to face meeting with the Lopen "boss" as I don't believe he deserves the title.Would all customers note this situation and add their name to mine. DON'T leave any gratuities until this matter has been successfully resolved.Resident of Seavington St Michael.

I do love this place. The staff are lovely and welcoming. The food has an authentic touch to it with an extensive menu to suit all tastes. Have to have whenever I am home visiting my parents and soon to move back to the area I will be frequenting even more....its busy because its that good and coming from one who knows the hospitality industry very well, impossible to predict so if you do have to wait a few extra minutes for your food on a Saturday night. So worth it!!

Takeaway is lacking a LOT! Biryani... Ok, lime pickles.... Good, onion bhaji.... Dry, overcooked and possibly stale, keema naan... "Where's the lamb?"

We came for Christmas Day lunch and what a joy it was. Choice of any starter on the menu and then a fusion of turkey Christmas dinner with curry and or butter chicken sauce. Too much food if anything and fantastic value for money. Highly recommend for Christmas Day 2024.

It is lovely to be able to choose either Indian, Thai or Japanese meals, and know that it will be the absolute best meal possible. We went as a family and each of us ordered a different meal. We were all delighted with our meals. It is also good to know that they cater for vegans too, with a huge choice. We were greeted with big smiles from the crew and felt very welcome. Booking is advised as the restaurant's reputation is growing. We will certainly be returning.
