The pub is lovely, nice gardens, helpful staff, but let down by the very very very miserable landlady. She is clearly in the wrong job. I always try to make allowances for people because you don’t know what’s going on in their life. She may have had bad news on that particular day, or a husband has left her, or the children have left the nest etc, butas I’ve read other people felt the same as us, so it wasn’t just a bad day.I can’t comment about the rooms.

We were visting the area and visited The Brewers Arms for a meal on the Saturday night. The pub had a good atmosphere. The restaurant was really nice and the food was lovely. The staff were excellent. We will definitely be back when we are next in the area.

An average pub let down by an awful landlady. She is clearly not cut out for the hospitality industry: she is well known locally as a bully to her staff, a bad employer and rude to any customer she does not know. Save your hard-earned money for a more pleasant and deserving pub - there are plenty in the area - or until this very unprofessional "lady" moves on.

We love this pub, it’s our village local and when we get the chance to go we will always go. It’s a family run business and a lovely family and the team are all amazing. Always has a great atmosphere and my Husband and I adore the team and adore Nikki she has a heart of gold will do anything for the community and is loved by many.

The landlady was utterly rude, clearly a bully to her staff and made me feel as if I had done something wrong the moment I asked her for a menu. She is well known locally for being a dysfunctional (barely) human being and the locals despise her. Her pub does not deserve your money. Plenty of other great pubs in the area - try anywhere but here. Hopefully she'll move on once the business dries up.

A warm welcome the minute we walked in. Bar area was heaving as it was the Friday before Christmas, but found a table to sit at and have a drink before the restaurant opened, which was very pleasant and had a lovely atmosphere. Restaurant was really tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and well laid out not squashed in. A great selection on the menu. Food was amazing and service was fantastic. No sign of any rude grumpy landlady, everyone was polite, well mannered and really happy in there work even though it was the start of a very busy night for them. Would defiantly return again a hidden gem just off the A303.

Do not go to this pub if you like a friendly atmosphere. Roast potatoes that could break windows! Wish I had listened to the reviews.

Lovely pub, staff for the majority were lovely. Land lady however was brash and rude to a number of family members. Refused an extra member of our party food however allowed walk ins. The food was varied. Beef roasts went down well pork was tough as leather. Ironically.
