Nice. Can be crowded in the coffee area. I have not tried the restaurant. Staff superb. Value good. Free easy parking.

Purposefully went here due it stating that it provides vegan food on its specials menu. However, upon arrival we were told there were no vegan specials that day and all that was on offer were some vegan starters. Really disappointed by the whole experience. It is however, a very nice atmosphere.

Lovely food and setting, they desperately need more staff, was such a long wait for even the coffee, we wouldn't normally mind but had a busy day, so put us behind.

In this area of England which is extremely rich in ciderries, Sheppys certainly stands out for its beautiful venue and its shop entirely themed on cider and local products. The room is very large and finely furnished in industrial style. Downstairs you can find a kind of supermarket where you can buy their cider plus many products that come from small local businesses in the surrounding area. Then there is a bar area where you can stop even just for a coffee or a fresh cider and finally the actual restaurant with table service and choice from a vast menu.I really appreciated that cider is present in most of the dishes offered by the restaurant. The standard is very high and the food is good, obviously sipping excellent cider. the cuisine is country but with many modern nuances. We ate super tasty dishes for a reasonable amount. I absolutely recommend eating at this place but be careful about booking. We arrived for lunch on a normal day (not a weekend) and they struggled to find us a table without a reservation.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance to the restaurant is on the ground floor and there are many tables on the same level as the entrance which do not have steps or obstacles to reach
On the 10th of January we attended my wife's aunties funeral and after to sheppys for some refreshments, on arriving we were shepered upstairs to a tiny mezzanine floor luckily everyone managed to climb up some with difficulties as it was older people, only to find 3 tables and very few chairs, eventually more chairs were brought up and the so called food put on the table, may I say in all my life I have never seen anything so sparse and pathetic some people didn't even get anything, the tea and coffee was luke warm and the chap serving it was so ignorant it was unbelievable, as soon as your plate was empty they would scoop it away with not asking if you were finished, I have found out from the family how much you charged in disbelief, you should all hang you heads in shame of the treatment of the people on the sad occasion, we will never visit your establishment again or forget your diabolical service.

Poor experience , Manager would not come out to front of house for feedback . Cold toast with no butter eggs all over done . Tea served 20 mins before your breakfast so it’s all gone and any sauces come when you half way through eating …. Extremely expensive and poor experience and not interested in feedback and putting things right . Also sign out side as you exit blocks any viewing of traffic approach extremely dangerous !!!!
