Just got back from a disappointing lunch at Sheppy’s. Service was slow, it took 15 minutes for someone to take our order even for drinks and the wine was not nearly cold enough. Caesar salad had far too much dressing on it tho the steak and kidney pie was good. The worst thing was that for the first half an hour we had a fork lift trucking reversing backwards and forwards right outside the doors with the resulting beeping noise and fumes. Visited for the cider tour and tasting and really enjoyed it. We had Mike as our guide and he was great, even played us a wassailing song on his accordion! Had a pint in the bar after and visited the shop. All staff really helpful and excellent facilities. Said hi to the friendly donkeys and goats too. Easily accessible by bus from Taunton. Overall, a fab experience.

Lovely conversion to restaurant, bar, cafe with extensive cheese and cider shop. Food quite expensive given what it is. Service willing but poor communication given warning of 30 minute wait for food from kitchen. Should keep guests informed and have someone clearly in charge.
