We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here on Saturday, the food was lovely and the service was just as great.To the couple who surprised my boyfriend and I by contributing to our bill, you made our weekend away even more special and we were overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness - thank you so much! The atmosphere was fab, the place was full even though it was mid Jan, and the food, wow!! We had the mushrooms on crumpets with truffle butter to start then one of our party had the lamb which which looked divine with creamy mashed potato, my husband and I had the steak, which was so soft & succulent you could cut it with a butter knife. The portions were just right and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were nice and friendly too. We will be back
We all had Sunday lunch, which was delicious. Very generous portions and wonderfully pink roast beef. The staff were careful to check that we were all happy with rare beef when we ordered it and kindly served some slightly more well done for one of our party. One of our party was in a wheelchair and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
