Wonderful evening, high quality tasty food, lovely tapas, we had the baked camembert to start followed by 5 tapas dishes and an Eton Mess(was to share, though my partner polished about 90% of it off because I was full!) I don't know how the owner does it since she seems to do it all serve, cook, take orders and payment etc. Very polite and friendly service. We're not local but will certainly be back when next visiting the area. Thank you!

Wonderful tapas with flavourful selection and wide choice of dishes. The sharing starting platter was perfect. Atmosphere was perfect and the service was friendly.

Had our 56th wedding anniversary meal here, food was excellent and Angela and her staff were amazing and looked after us so well. Would definitely recommend this quirky but lovely

Do not go here unless you want to be spoken to like a child. Told what and how much to order. This is not tapas. Tapas is ordering dishes you like and have them in front of you, not 2 tables down, so by the time you get to your dish it’s gone, because 1 dish is made into 2 and eaten… host isn’t a host, more a bossy mare who decides on your palate… waiter over worked, drinks missing and then told off for ordering more food as our food was put to the other end of the table. Prawns were cold and menu was very limited. For a £300 plus bill I thought it was shocking. Food brought out after an age without even serving spoons. My husband waited over half a hour for a peroni and had to be reordered.Severely lacking customer service and hospitality. Will not be returning which is a shame.

Quite tasty food, however it was cold and a bit musty in the restaurant. Friendly staff but wouldn't rush back.

First of all, the food, when it eventually arrived, was great !, especially the camembert starter. However, I thought the idea of tapas, is you order eat, order more, eat more and enjoy; not some raving lunatic from the kitchen, coming out and saying "you haven't ordered enough". She got her comeuppance with the table of 8, Quasimodo needs to understand that old people don't eat a lot. Waiter (nice guy but overworked) was good. As a birthday treat, a bit of a bad experience, improved by the copious quantities of bubbles we drank, which was reasonably priced. Recommendstions: chef needs to go on a customer relations course, building needs decent wifi to make the water's job easier.

This is not tapas, food was poor quality, awful atomosphere. I’ve had tapas all over Spain and this food is unrecognisable as tapas! A Plate of fried day old potatoes with some tomato sauce and garlic mayo chucked on it doesn’t constitute patatas bravas. Prawns weren’t fresh, squid chewy and some weird stewed meat type things were not nice at all. Total waste of money. The host talks to you like a headmistress rather than a welcoming host. The whole place needs a darn good clean and is in desperate need of a lick of paint. Dated burgundy vinyl tablecloths with holes in them, which were dirty/sticky too. Table placed by kitchen door (they called it the conservatory, NOT A CONSERVATORY in any sense of the word) , all you could hear was the chef and the staff chatting. Very off putting with no atmosphere. No repeat custom from us I’m afraid. Such a shame, promised much, delivered nothing.

What a lovely experience. The food was absolutely delicious and we both enjoyed our Sunday roasts! 5/5 all round.

First visit to The Cat's Whisker on the recommendation of my sister. Cute qurky restaurant, excellent food and service. Locally sourced food cooked to perfection.

The Cat's Whisker is a hidden gem! The tapas dishes were delicious, with a perfect blend of flavors and textures. From the patatas bravas to chicken with cider sauce, each bite was a delight. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere added to the overall experience, making it perfect for any occasion. I highly recommend The Cat's Whisker for an unforgettable dining experience.

Angela and the team were fabulous as was the food. Nothings was too much trouble and the wine we had went perfectly with the tapas we had.
