All good food choices and a deal on cake and coffee for £5.95. The cake and the drink were fab. Dog friendly and great service.

Very busy place hence slow but friendly service. Food is tasty with good portions however it felt quite heavy, not sure why but we all had the same feeling despite ordering very different dishes. Loads of dogs however they have a dog-free zone which was very welcome.

Food was very filling and good overall. The service wasn't fantastic and an automatic tip is applied which isnt great, but overall pretty decent.

We were rather disappointed with our latest experience at this restaurant. Good service, but pretty average food, and I was disappointed with the crab cakes which were lacking in taste and rather rubbery. My Pan Fried Hake with roast potatoes was served in a breakfast type bowl which left the roast potatoes soggy. One of my guests Cider Battered Hake, had too much batter and very little fish. I don't mind paying top price for restaurant food but at £130 for 4 I thought this was poor value.

Myself and my partner thought we would try a cream tea here on Sunday afternoon. After waiting for a long time to be served, we were finally asked what we would like, only to be met with "I'm sorry I'm just a temp" and then went on to serve someone else. Finally we were served by one of the staff who was rushed off her feet and seemed to be doing everything. We ordered two cream teas and were told that the only tables available are outside. The weather wasn't great but it wasn't raining so we thought fine. The cream tea came, which was a bit odd, we had no milk and no knife to cut the scone. I went back to ask for both. When I got back to my partner, she asked if I liked Earl Grey as thats what we had been given. Ok, not my first choice of tea to have with a cream tea but I won't complain. Then I noticed how runny the 'cream' was, which also tasted of lemon! By this point I had enough and returned the tray and asked for a refund, to be told that the cream teas are served with Earl Grey, however when we checked the menu, this certainly wasn't stated, and the cream was in fact a lemon posset! My partner and I were going to go for an evening meal, but after the complete shambles on a Sunday afternoon, we've decided not to go. With the exception of the 'temp', the staff seemed lovely and were trying their best. If you're not bothered about wanting to eat or drink, but instead want a full on faulty towers experience, or a lemon posset Earl Grey cream tea, then this is definitely the place to go.

Very disappointed. Poor service, food was warm as best and inconsistent potions size. Will not be returning.

Lovely relaxed place to eat and drink. Warm and helpful staff. Dogs are made to feel very welcome. Excellent fish and chips. Thank you very much!

This was my first time back at this location since it was taken over under the new name. It was excellent. Completely refurbished inside and is now modern and welcoming. Staff were all pleasant and professional. The food from the nibbles, starters through to main course and desert was outstanding and best I have sampled in the North Somerset area. Superb and good value for money. I will be back and am already looking forward to dinner in a few days time. Well done everyone. Annette Hennessy

Love the beach decor, a lovely renovation of a previously old fashioned venue. The chicken burger and buttermilk coating was amazing, one of the best I've had in the UK from even street food vendors. Beef dripping fries were lovely too. Food fresh and hot and dog friendly too.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available.

Had a delicious lunch today roast beef with a fine range of veg. Main event battered hake in thatchers cider batter. Absolutely amazing with beef dripping chips and crushed peas . I eat in dozens of hotels and restaurants in my job and this was way above anything I have had before. Tempura came to mind. But whatever a really good dish. Prices reasonable under the current financial crisis.cannot recommend this enough. Plainly and sensibly decorated. Menu is not pretentious just good solid cheffing . Well done allParking: Loads

We popped in for lunch today, and chose a Seafood Sharing Platter. I wish we'd chosen something else from what looked like a pretty comprehensive menu. The cured trout and crab meat were sadly missing from our platter, whilst the replacement whitebait was overcooked and the replacement salmon fatty and greasy. The side portion of triple cooked beef dripping chips were simply inedible, cooked to within an inch of their lives, and looked like they had been left over from the previous evening. So we won't have that again.
