It's now totally vegan, the only vegan place in WSM I believe, so it gets full marks for that :D I wasn't eating, but my companions enjoyed the simple, tasty vegan food - I think there's one option per evening but when it's good, one is enough! There's a good range of drinks - including 0 alcohol beers and tasty kombucha.
The atmosphere is fantastic - we were there for national poetry day, with 2 featured poets and an open mic. Brilliantly compered, a thoroughly enjoyable night out.
I need to get back here during the day for a coffee; it's such a great place.

This could be my new regular stop off.
It has a nice interior layout as well, all the things that make your coffee stop worth while.

Lovely atmosphere. Lovely food. So much food had to take half home for next day's tea.
Just one downer. The ladies toilets smelled bad. Need air freshener and ventilation. Toilet areas are clean. Just bit too smelly for me. And one toilet seat needs replacing.

18 Walliscote Rd, Weston-super-MareI called in because this bar is in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. All four cask ales were from Glastonbury Brewing (tap takeover) so I had a flight comprising tasters of all four beers.
The general quality was mediocre at best, but my lack of enthusiasm was largely down to a couple of serving issues...
Firstly, there were no sparklers on the pumps so the beers were completely flat - no life in them at all. Is that the way cask beers are served in this part of the country? It's not like that 'up north'.
Secondly, all four beers were very warm, although I appreciate that if I'm buying only a 125ml taster I'm getting the beer that's been sitting in the pipes, not in the cask. Hopefully this wouldn't be an issue if I'd ordered a full pint.
One final point - the service was excellent. The young lady serving me was very friendly and helpful - thank you.

Food that was cooked by Steve and Wayne, as I said I was not disappointed, the food was amazing.

Just hiding away from the bustle of weston.
Well they say a great chef takes a pride in their work and in this case ,everything was of a meal that had a great deal of that.
Will be returning for more for sure.
UPDATE:
We can comfortably say that the menu is is complete the crispy chicken on the menu is as good as the rest of the menu. The chicken was juicy, the skin was crispy, when paired with mac and cheese not to mention the chorizo made an impression on my taste buds thank you to the helpful and friendly staff.
UPDATE 2:
Yet another winner from this kitchen. Rolled belly of pork served just right a little bit of crackling on the outside and lovely and tender in the middle as it should be. led on a bed of apple sauce with a potato and onion gratin lovely. But paring blackberries and tender stems was again challenging to the taste buds but ultimately worth it. once again, Thanks guys I will be back for more.?

I cannot recommend highly enough the "Munch Box" which is a layer of chips covered with a layer of chicken which can be flavour tailored to your liking covered in lashings of 2 delicious sauces, I always order it and really begrudge having to share it with the other half. He favours the chicken wrap which also comes with the different flavour options. The nachos are also very very tasty and these 3 dishes are the minimum we order every time. The shop staff that deliver are always within the expected arrival times given by the restaurant and very courteous and friendly. Chargrilled Peri Peri is always my first choice when we're deciding on where to order from

I don’t usually go for battered cod as from other fish and chip shops I find it mushy and I end up feeling nauseous but sea salt is different, crispy batter every time!
Staff are kind and service is amazing and I like how you can see that the food is cooking from the moment it comes out the freezer or bucket to when it is be packaged up.

M5 Northbound, Northbound Nr, Weston-super-MareWhen I arrived at Subway, it looked very clean and tidy, I was served be the manager who was polite and made sure I had everything I needed, I have to say that this subway is very generous with there fillings because other places I have been to they only put 2 slices of ham in the roll, when I question this to the manager he said we always put 4 slices in on a 6inch as that was part of there training, I think other subways need to take lessons from this branch. Thank you for a brilliant service, could not get your name but I saw manager on your badge, will definitely be coming back to this branch again...

I had the mushroom and cognac chicken, would certainly recommend, the sauce was delicious. Good portions, reasonably priced, good atmosphere friendly staff giving great service. If you haven't visited already, give it a try - you won't be disappointed. Make sure you book well in advance as they are very busy, and for good reason ?

Beachlands Hotel
17 Uphill Rd N, Weston-super-MareBeen a few times now and so far all visits have been great. We stayed in room 10 on Friday 2nd Jan, large and comfortable. The shower was excellent. TV was more than adequate. The radiator in the room was adequate enough to heat the room. Good thick curtains. We had drinks in the bar, Dinner and breakfast, all very nice indeed. I did send an email via Bookings.com to the hotel and they never received it (if the hotel want the details to talk to Bookings about this, please contact me). All staff in attendance were very food. My wife used the lovely pool.
Just some constructive feedback (not complaints).
In the changing room in the pool, there was a puddle on the floor !
I think it would be a good idea to have a Reception sign on the entrance to the hotel from the car park.
The restaurant was a bit chilly, not sure why the double doors were open to the other room, just does not keep the valuable expensive heat in the restaurant area.
Will we visit again ? Absolutely.
