1030am 16/03/24.No staff in sight, both tills closed.Order by touchscreen or app only on offer (both tills closed)No hot chocolate, latte, etc as coffee machine broken according to sign. Tea only.Clearly, they're short of staff not being able to offer a till, and equipment obviously breaks down sometimes. On what should be a bustling Saturday morning however, this is a very poor first impression. I've used Morrisons cafe's plenty in the past but shocked how far they've slipped.

Morrisons Cafe: Where My Dinner Was Sizzling, but I Needed a Blanket!Oh, Morrisons Cafe in Wincanton – a culinary rollercoaster where the all-day breakfast is a gastronomic symphony, but the dining experience leaves you colder than a polar bear in a snowstorm.Let's start with the food – my all-day breakfast was a taste sensation, a masterpiece of sausages and beans that danced on my taste buds like a culinary conga line. Value for money? Absolutely. It's like Morrisons whispered sweet savings into my bacon-loving ear. Now, onto the climate control – or the lack thereof. I've been in warmer snow globes. I half-expected the staff to hand out complimentary blankets and survival guides for enduring the Arctic blast. My plate was a hot haven in a sea of chilly discontent. And then, the music! I thought I accidentally walked into a dance party for penguins. The tunes were louder and more obnoxious than a neighbor's lawnmower at sunrise. I had to shout my order louder than a town crier just to be heard over the cacophony. In conclusion, Morrisons Cafe is a culinary paradox – where the food is a five-star fiesta, but the temperature and playlist make you contemplate bringing a sleeping bag. If you're ready for a dining adventure that's both mouth-watering and teeth-chattering, Morrisons Cafe in Wincanton is the place to be – just bring your winter coat and a dance partner for those unexpected beats! ? ?Vegetarian options: Were some veggie options

We use Wincanton Morrisons as our breakfast stop when travelling North and/or East and thus far they have never let us down. The food is hot, freshly prepared and plentiful and ridiculously inexpensive, we've paid a lot more for much less, hence why we use it quite regularly (often when we're not actually travelling any distance). It's just so good. It should be said that we've only sampled the breakfasts here but they do hot food through til lunchtime too!!

Similar to most Morrisons cafés, I usually have breakfast, which is a bit dry, black pudding well done, chearful sausages, but edible and well priced. These are not gourmet establishments and food is a bit production line rather than hand crafted. The restaurant is a bit cool (for march) and care worn, but acceptable.

Poached eggs with solid rubberoid centres, with allegedly avocado which was really, a greeny slimey goo like green ketchup.Utterly abysmal. Very cheap! The server told me the poached eggs are pre cooked and microwaved for 20 seconds - but when that runs out they are cooked freshly, go figure!!!

Was ok if you didn't look at the floor ? Considering the cafe had only been open a hour or so it was filthy.

If you want a quick snack, coffee or a meal at a sensible price then this is for you. Not gourmet dinning but if out shopping and don't want to cook it's ideal.
