Unfortunately I do not understand the reviews. Terrible service and disappointing food. None of the roast dinner matched temperatures from burning hot potato to freezing cold Yorkshire pudding. It was extremely overpriced for what you get and it took as long as making a roast dinner from scratch at home to finally arrive to the table. The service was poor, no one offered to get more drinks or refill the jug of water. Very overrated pub/restaurant and sadly wouldn't ever choose to return.

The best moules marinère and the crispiest battered cod ever!

Had a weekday lunch. Really good quality at a very good price - the lunch deal. We will certainly return.

Excellent lunch for 3 families on Sunday. Friendly atmosphere, very helpful and Turkey Roast was the best value and quality that I have had in a very long time!

Absolutely brilliant evening, food was amazing, there were 10 of us dining, all our food came out together! Exceptional service, and food! Definitely recommend!

Sunday 31st December 2023 - chose this place as we were in the vicinity and it had online booking and good reviews. Another local pub under new management apparently. We'd hope for a Sunday Lunch but these had been deferred until New Year's Day. The regular menu is pleasant enough - I chose runny yolk scotch egg, my wife had the soup (roasted sweet potato) then we both had goats cheese and beetroot salad. No dessert for us but some nice options. Bar and restaurant were not unexpectedly busy for NYE and it seemed the kitchen became a little overwhelmed as the service slowed dramatically with a few grumbles from around the dining room. The coffee machine then decided to go on strike causing more problems. Staff were very welcoming & helpful.

A lovely cozy pub, amazing ambiance and decoration. Situated in a quiet area, with ample parking. Great service and a friendly welcome. The food is amazing, great presentation and very tasty. It was our first visit and very impressive. We will be back.

Fantastic! The old team are back and it is well run and the food delicious. Lovely place to sit and friendly staff. Cosy bar but also larger dining room and snug.

I had this place recommended to me by someone who lives locally, so I made a point to stop by there on of my trips down the A303. I'm very pleased to say I've found my new favourite pub! Came in on a very busy Sunday and was very warmly greeted by the gentleman working front of house. They've got an excellent range of drinks to fit all tastes, with good local options and some lovely wines. The food was perfection, brought out by very warm and considerate staff. If I could have every meal created by their chefs I would be the happiest person on earth! I'll have to make more trips down that way to try my way through their menu top to bottom (and probably a few more times after that!) They told me they're planning to do afternoon tea soon, so I'll make sure I book myself in for that as soon as possible too!
