Great staff behind the bar and waiting on the tables, but food not that great. Lovely old building & everything was clean. Convenient for eating if staying at the Premier Inn.

I've only ever come in for breakfast. It's unlimited but not buffet so they take your order and you can choose anything from the menu. I guess it stops people wasting food by taking more than they can eat but I suppose I prefer the flexibility of the buffet. The same lady has been serving in the restaurant for years and she is lovely. She seems to run front of house single handedly, greeting customers, taking payments and orders etc. She is very patient when dealing with difficult customers (there is always someone burning croissants in the toaster despite being specifically told not to!). I presume the kitchen is also skeleton staffed in the mornings because things can slow down quite quickly when a lot of people come in at once - which happens quite regularly because of the hotel next door. It's a nice ambience, especially in the conservatory with it's views across the valley. This place breaks the mould of big chain pubs so don't be put off if you had an unenjoyable experience at a different Brewers Fayre. I've been back here many times and judging by the many guests who are on first name terms with staff I'm not the only one. We can't all be wrong!

Staying the hotel next door for an early flight. So booked the restaurant, it was a quiet evening but food was excellent value for money and the employees very friendly and efficient. Special mention to Jordan who was so helpful and made us feel very welcome, a true credit to the Sidcot Arms.
