We came to The Woodborough Inn for the first time today, and we all had either a beef or pork roast dinner, and they were simply delicious, as were the desserts too. One tiny thing I'd have preferred is custard with the sticky toffee pudding, but the double cream was nice. The meals were delicious, and the staff were very nice. We'll definitely return again for a lush Sunday roast.

Warm and friendly reception when we arrived, shown to our beautiful room, very spacious and comfortable, amazing bathroom. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar. A delicious meal in the restaurant area, generous portions, well cooked, as was breakfast the following morning. All the staff we encountered we pleasant and friendly.

A dog friendly pub both inside & out (apart from restaurant area) with plenty of parking at the rear. Serves nice food and has friendly staff.

Stopped in desperate for some food.. was just in time as the kitchen was about to close. Was seated quickly and we ordered quickly so we didn't miss out. Food was excellent and good value. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Cannot fault at all.. Will visit again!

We just had possibly the best Sunday lunch in a very long while here. Porchetta, beef, lamb and chicken were all just delicious. The veggies were plentiful and not overcooked either. Piping hot food served by super friendly staff. The price was very reasonable too and we were blown away at how much this pub has improved. Well Done chef Nathan and all your team! Highly recommended

We have just got home after a two night stay here. We had booked two rooms for two nights. My husband and I stayed in room 2 and Mum and Dad in room 1. The rooms were lovely , the staff friendly and the meals great . Breakfast was wonderful with a huge choice. We will definitely stay here again. Would recommend.
This is a great local pub as well as a really friendly restaurant. Had a Sunday lunch today which was brilliant. Plenty to eat, great quality, super staff and excellent location. Definitely worth a visit, and we'll be back again and again

Popped in on a lunchtime whilst on a walk along the Strawberry Line. Big pub with restaurant, lounge, outdoor seating, and indoor skittles alley. Good range of drinks, hot and cold. Menu looked good with plenty of gluten free options. The chips we had were excellent and all the staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere with a big fire.

Quite literally the worst place I’ve stayed. We have been using this pub for food and rooms for over ten years. We came as a family for a memorial. The food was completely inedible across the whole weekend. Takes hours for breakfast or the main meal to come and would come out, cold, mushy and the wrong order. I think the last resort for me when the waitress said “hey ho” to me sending my food back as it was the wrong food. Won’t be visiting again. Bad service and terrible quality food for an expensive price. It’s a shame this used to be a really lovely place. Vegetarian food was really bad.
