Stairfoot Barnsley stores great , the girls are great and well versed in what food the serve.Vegetarian options: Could do with more selection as it's mainly salad and cheese that I get as i don't like the veg sausage and steak.

Went in at 7:25 and after a 5 min wait with no staff around some finally showed there face and was told that they throw out all there meatballs at 7:30 every night and couldn’t reheat anymore.Very poor

Staff were polite and friendly but clearly over worked , not enough staff to meet walk in customers and delivery service and pick up demand . So be prepared to wait for your sub .

Was at the Stairlift, Barnsley branch at lunchtime and there was only one member of staff serving in store customers. The only other staff member present concentrate solely on phone/internet orders. From being near the front of the queue waiting to be served it took around 40 minutes to be served with the server both making sandwiches and taking payment. The actual sandwich when it arrived was possibly the poorest I have had at any subway.On leaving the queue was to the doorway with the same sole member of staff serving. It will be a while before I Grace subways with my custom again, and then it will be at a different branch. I feel sorry for the people on lunch breaks from work no doubt they were many of them late back.

Not for vegetarians. They touch the meat products to put on the sandwiches and then with the same gloves on they then touch the vegetables. This contaminates all the vegetables with meat fats.

Came in wanting a tuna sandwich to which she said they had no tuna unless they made some more, which they then refused to do. This meant i left with no sandwich. Me and my friend then asked for two cookies (one chocolate chunk and one double chocolate) to which the worker then came back with two bags of three packs of each and scanned them straight away so we had to pay for them. i am not happy.

4 staff members. 1 in the back 3 out front.Only one customer in the entire shop being served and myself waiting behind.One guy, probably new, making a sandwich slowly and struggling with knowing the toppings to put on, one guy at the salad bar watching him make the sandwich.One girl at the till watching them. One it the back leaning against the wall looking out into the store.Waited 5 minutes, not a word said to me about what I might want, or maybe get the bread out to help the one guy actually doing anything, just left.

I'm not sure to the extent that subway monitor staff training. However, me and my partner called in about 7:30pm to grab a sandwich each, there were two members of staff in the store at the time (20th march). One being a young woman and one being a young male, the male was clearly learning his new job role, and being 'taught' by the lady working alongside him. We were initially greeted by the young lad and made to feel welcome, this quickly changed as the other member of staff just watched him serving us with a stern face. She made the entire visit uncomfortable, picking up on each tiny innocent mistake and clearly making us and him feel uncomfortable and awkward. She had no name badge on but if I were her employer I would not have her working there, horrible customer service and not in anyway capable of teaching another how to do their job.To the lad who served us you deserve a pat on the back, 5 star service considering he had clearly just started.I really hope he says something to someone higher up as the way he was being treated was disgusting. He made a good sandwich and was really friendly. The complete opposite of his colleague.Subway please investigate this and give that lad a payrise, sad to see things like this still happening.
