Just had 3 small fish and chip meals. Usually amazing food but not today. We all ended up throwing half the chips away. Don't know if it was just a bad lot of potatoes but it's no excuse for sending chips out that looked if they weren't cooked fresh. Asked for well done fish and batter not that crispy tbh. Very disappointing Friday fish night. Think I'll give it a miss for a while.

I’m not from the area and, whilst spending the weekend in Thorne visiting family, was recommended to try the fish and chips at Chips and Things. I don’t often write reviews but WOW! The cod was so soft and obviously fresh. The batter was equally soft and delicious. It was all cooked freshly whilst we waited and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Portion size was also tops. My cod and chips really were up there with the best I’ve ever had, and I don’t say that lightly. My next visit to Thorne will now certainly incorporate a repeat visit. Thanks and Congratulations!

They even delivered an order on their home after closing after i ordered late by mistake.....you cannot ask for better service, a true corner stone of the community! Had one of the best fish n chips today at Moorends Chips n Things. All cooked fresh. Ps I did ask for chips well done and glad I did. Was really crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Top notch ?
