“Been coming in for a good few years now it’s my local pub and the atmosphere and staff are always welcoming, friendly and have great banter. Whether it’s a meal with family or drinks with the girls service has always been really good. Lots to choose from on the menus food wise and decent prices. Definitely our go to pub! Thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome every time we visit.”

“Ahhhhh what can I’d say about this gaff. My first impression wasn’t the best as I walked in and saw the owners face covered in white powder like prime Maradona on a Tuesday morning sesh. Turns out he’d just been flipping pizzas and the substance turned out to be Be-Ro. I’ve often wondered why it’s hyphenated so if anyone knows let me know in the comments. Nestled in the Boujee courtyard of excelsior court this swanky saloon offers a trendy ambiance and a broad choice of premium lagers, ciders and cocktails that’ll leave you more surprised than when they changed Jif to Cif. The glazed extension which was put up by another Conisbrough stalwart Mrs Lau and her company FRS installations brings the outdoors indoors and you can people watch the local crack heads make their way from Elm green lane to that bench outside the chemist. Side note…. Do crack heads not feel heat? Last Sunday I saw one in 30 degree heat in a Naff Naff puffer jacket and eclipse jeans, riding a bike 1 handed with a joint of freshly liberated lamb under the other arm. Not a bead of sweat and that leg of lamb was banging for £5 Onto the food. Clive is fast becoming the next Gino. His delicate hands kneads that dough like a seasoned Thai masseuse and when you taste his creations you’ll defo get a happy ending. Clive now prefers to go by his pseudonyms no so if you see him please call him one of the following. Margherita Thatcher Benito Calzoni Pepper ronnie Corbett Sharon Stonebaked Crusty Springfield If you’re worried about structural integrity of the bar. Fear not as local celebrities Colin Smith, Gary Gizza Hughes and David Dutchman are always on hand to prop it up. Clive and Donna have truly built a little gem of a place and well worth a visit. Plus if the Kelsalls are both working you can entertain yourself by ordering things from the high up shelves. Lovely people with excellent boxing skills but they are quite short. I’m sure you will enjoy your visit and will leave buzzing like a faulty fridge freezer. Viva la white lady Viva la Col Smith”
