Lovely to see familiar faces amongst the staff at our local Wetherspoons. Since reopening, all staff have been welcoming, helpful with the new rules whilst visiting and give us every confidence to sit and enjoy a pint. Whilst this is one of a huge chain of establishments, Anthony, our barman, makes this feel truly a 'local' givng us the lowdown on the forthcoming beers (great for CAMRA members) and the odd sample to tempt us to try beverages we wouldn't otherwise try. Brilliant choice, excellent value for money and super friendly staff. Like all weatherspoons provides a perfect ambience with value for money. The building is very impressive with plenty of tables and interesting local touches.
Not busy when we visited on a Wednesday lunchtime. Scanned the NHS app as we entered and were told we could sit anywhere. Inside or out. Ordered the jacket potato and BBQ chicken melt. The chicken was over cooked. Couldn’t fault the service or the price though.
