I love Wetherspoon. How can anyone grumble when you can get a pint of cider for the same price as a pint of coke? Well, me actually as I don’t drink ?This pub was quite clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. It’s quite large and spacious inside and has a lovely terrace. I hate Tim Martin with a vengeance after his insane stance on brexit. But in Mexborough his pub is the nicest option by far. The use and restoration of historic buildings is a trademark - but so is his grinding of minimum wage employees. But here its the best option. The ambience is classy and the staff are friendly. Pay them properly Tim, and stop pandering to xenophobes.
