Went for an evenening meal, the food was pretty good and the place was friendly. However it was freezing and I had to put my coat on (and I wasn't the only one). A Shame really, because had it been warm and comfy the review would have at least 4*

Met friends from out of the area. Had a job getting there due to M1 then pitch black country roads. But Cubley Hall was really lovely, staff great and food lovely too. Friends stayed over but we didn't. Great place.

Wow.! Such an amazing team, Especially Sandra & all her staff. We could have asked more on our wedding day it really was to perfection. Down to every last little part of our special day.You all really did make our wedding day a 'Dream Come True'.! .From start to finish ( planning our wedding within a year) Sandra you made it such a breeze to plan - we had no worries at all. Everyone has commented how beautiful the hot roast sandwiches & buffet was too.Our bridal suite was so lovley, even down to breakfast been wonderful.We really can't thankyou all enough.! Stayed for our Daughters wedding that was held in the barn. I cant say enough positive things in this short space. The hotel was fabulous. Rooms spotless and comfortable, the food was wonderful too, but it was the staff that made it the perfect stay. Every single person from bar to kitchen, cleaners to maintainance were professional and friendly and really couldn't do enough for us.The wedding was perfect thanks to Sandra .. her professional, friendly approach meant we didn't worry about a thing! The kitchen staff were amazing and helped rescue our cake so thank you again!It was a perfect day for us all and I would recommend this Venue to anyone wanting any celebration.5 stars all the way.A huge thank you again

Came with friends for one night. Food brilliant, staff fantastic...so friendly. Beautiful location. Only one slight niggle....the double bed seemed very small and lots of cobwebs on ceiling, other than that all was great. Will definitely be back.

We recently got married at Cubley Hall and this venue was absolutely fantastic. We got married outside in the bandstand and had a reception and buffet in the barn. All the staff at Cubley Hall are amazing and nothing was too much bother for them. Everyone went above and beyond, including Sandra the wedding organiser she was great from start to finish and she has loads of great recommendations for suppliers. This venue was perfect for us as it was our dream to get married outside in a bandstand, but they also have the barn at Cubley Hall too incase the weather doesn't play ball which is a great backup plan! The food at Cubley Hall is always yummy and it certainly didn't disapoint on our wedding day! The beer also went down quite nicely too! ? Thank you to everyone at Cubley Hall for making our day perfect!

Had lunch here and the food was excellent,the main meals were a great sized portion and the location is very pretty.
Aged 51 and my first visit to Curley Hall. What a welcome. Met Janine and started a conversation about gravy. Boom! We even got the locals involved. It ended with a happy birthday song and gravy with a candle. Great to be around great people. Well done and the family and I will be back. Ray. (From the wife: Janine was fantastic).

Really disappointed in the food. This used to be our go too local, but we are certainly looking at going elsewhere. The food was overcooked and overpriced for the quality we got. I would be ashamed sending food out looking as overcooked as my pizza today was. I did complain and received an apology from the server who noted they would tell the chef...but I was left with the overdone pizza and no followup feedback from the server/chef.

Had food here a number of times and been very pleased on each visit. Good menu options which change through the year, which shows they have a chef and team who care about the food they produce. Vegan /veggie & meaty eaters all catered for, even at breakfast. Dog friendly too.

Recently stayed I found all the staff really lovely and great service. Breakfast was very nice and the waitress was very attentive. Room was lovely and clean with everything we needed. Fantastic views and lovely play area for the kids. If I didn't live so far away it would definitely be on my local list and if am in the area again I would definitely stay again. We also had a family emergency so had to leave the second day the staff were so understanding and even refunded us, we were very grateful and made us feel like we would like to come and stay again. Thank you to all the staff for a warm and friendly welcome.Nearby activities: Lots to do in the local areaFood & drinks: Lovely food and good choice of drinks
