Lovely pub, staff were great, being able to take our dog in and actually being able to have a meal with him with us at the table was brilliant, (most dog friendly pubs only allow them in but not in the dining area)and they accommodated our request of a quiet corner table, meal was excellent, will definitely be returning ?

Visited today first time for a long time, looking for a new favourite pub/restaurant to visit regularly, food was excellent, drinks more expensive that most pubs, had joined reward scheme as a new visitor and wanted to use £20 discount offer but QR code wouldn’t work and staff member said this is a recurring issue, so we didn’t get the discount. If this is a recurring problem then find a way around it and give the customer what is promised! Won’t be using any vintage pubs if this is the way customers are treated!

Fantastic meal at the Golden Ball, great homemade lasagne and the pork belly was delicious. Amelia, our server was great and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble ?
As a work team we often pop to The Golden Ball for a celebration meal. The food is always spot on and even if we are a large group our meals all come out at once (sign of a great, organised kitchen!) Shout out to Bev & Louise for their great service.
