Essential tasty pub grub done well. I had the steak pie and apple & rhubarb crimble, both of which looked home made. Excellent value for money.Parking: More to the rear of the pub.

Went for a Sunday lunch, we had been before for a midweek diner which was very nice, we was expecting a nice Sunday lunch but was presented with Yorkshire puddings that looked like they had been sat on, the mash potatoes was that lumpy they took your fillings out and the roast potatoes looked anemic, the beer is very nice though and the pub is in a lovely location, the girls who served were lovely though. I believe they had a big function going on maybe shouldn’t have so many booked in at once.

Overall it was ok, but the food could have been better, it used to be fantastic but it’s been a while since been … the apple and rhubarb crumble wasn’t exactly what I’d call crumble .. the top was a bit soggy not crumble like at all.
